Question about Compaq Presario 700 470024-192 Notebook

Compaq webcam I have the same problem you mention ie: 'Vista does not have a stand-alone feature for Compaq Presario c700 webcam. You need to have another application to use the webcam. Fortunately, I found an application, YouCam, that allows you to take snapshots (and even videos) using the built-in webcam of the laptop' Can you pls tell me where you found this application?

Hi.
actually for presario c700, web cam driver is auto install in windows XP, Vista or 7.
you only need install web cam software to take picture from your web cam
on presario c700 webcam, Youcam software is need to make this action. but if u only use your cam for online. skype or ym is sufficient for it to function

I installed Windows 7 on my Compaq Presario c700 but lost my webcam.


Sounds like you need the drivers for your webcam that work in Win 7. I understand that sometimes Vista drivers will work.

Hi,
 
Sicne no specific model was mentioned, here is the generic webcam driver used for Compaq Presario C791TU Notebook PC. Most laptop models in this series with webcam use YouCam so it should work.

no need to remove the driver .. the driver of webcam for this laptop is automatically installed .. jsut remove youcam ... reboot the system and then reinstall it
