Question about Seiko 300 Lap Memory Stopwatch

Open Question

I have a S149 stopwatch. I left the batteries in over the summer. When I came back to school this fall, the batteries appeared dead and none of the function buttons worked in cluding the paper scroll. I put new batteries in and still nothing is being displayed on the screen, none of the function buttons work, but the power to the paper roll works and I can scroll the paper out.

SOURCE: The Seiko s149 will not display anything on the screen.

We had to change the internal battery on ours today. There are 4 screws on the back of the case and 3 inside the AA battery compartment. Careful pulling the front and back apart as there are some wires that attach between the two. Two of the three screws need to be removed to get the CR2430 battery out to replace it. We now have the watch screen...just need to remember how to operate it...need a new users manual.

If you go to "www.sportscounters.com/seiko-s149-stopwatch-printer-all-in-one" you will see a telephone number, try calling them for advice.

(This problem is fairly common after replacing batteries, so I suspect that there is a procedure for resetting the timer.)

I am having trouble finding 6V SB-T74 battery for Seiko s149 stopwatch. Any suggestions?

See:
http://www.battery-house.co.uk/reference.html
for a list of battery equivalents. Looks like the SB-T74 is a CR2340, available online for a couple of UK pounds.

Seiko Stop Watch S149 Stop watch has new batteries in and they are put in correctly but nothing shows up on the screen. The paper feeder works so it is getting power.

My seiko s149 with built in printer went blank the other day.

The S149 has 2 sets of batteries

1) 4 X AA for the printer
2) a round "button battery inside the unit for the clock.

Open up the unit, you will see that it takes either a 2450 or a 2032 depending on the model.
