Question about Baby Gear

Remote Assistance Hey, Ekse.. Just used remote assistance for first time yesterday.. Worked like a charm! Solved the problem, but again user closed the chat without usual story. But I saw it on his computer, and he clicked the "X" by mistake instead of "end session", so didnt get a chance to rate. Anyways, just wanted to thank you for showing me how to use the remote assistance. BTW, is your email problem resolved?

Thanks for the tip, Ekse. And good to know your email issue is ok. Must have been a server issue, then...

You seem to be in a bad mood today, my friend...not like Ekse at all :)

Anyways, Good Luck for the rest of the day :)
I will have to stop by 5pm GMT today, as I have to go for work...Will be missing out on all the juicy Premiums..Woe is me :(

Just try not to be afraid. When you are afraid, your body releases pheromones indicating fear, which causes the bees to attack.. Just open the window and sit tight, LOL..or smoke a cigarette..the smoke will drive em out (if you smoke that is :)

    Hey Ekse..

I am going for work now..Wonder if I can ask you a favor..
Can you copy the URL's of premiums that come up (till you are on Fixya) and make a Word doc for me? Then after I return from work, I can take a look.

If its too much of a bother, then dont worry about it. But if you can, please send it to

    thanks was a lousy day..just 5 bucks!

You know what I do.. If we solve the problem with remote assistance, I mostly take them back to fixya if already closed, then on the my profile page open the write a review link on the chat for them.

Yeah no problem.

Btw, I think it solved on its own I haven't changed anything but its only showing one email in all messages now instead of duplicates.

Maxi coso infant car seat

I don't have a link for the manual, but I am a Dad. Most the time they use the lap belt to run acrossed the center of the car seat. If your child is an infant, then they should be facing backward. Sometimes the car seat will come with a base that the infant seat locks into. You use the seat belt on the base for this kind and then lacth the infant seat into it.

Most of the time, police and fire stations will offer assistance with installing car seats properly, in case I didn't help.

Good luck!

Hey iDude~

Well, best thing is to choose queries that are complete and that you are comfortable with. Also the ones asking for drivers, manuals, etc that should be easy to find.
I also take time to research the answers and provide all possible solutions in the first answer itself..most askers want immediate answers, and I try to avoid the queries where you know the asker has to get a repair done. Even if so, i try to provide as much information on troubleshooting as possible, before mentioning in the last line "if all these methods are unsuccessful you will probably have to get the device repaired or purchase a new one, whichever works out cheaper for you". Most cases they are happy with that statement.
I also used to add a template text regarding ratings in the past, and I notice now that I used to get a higher percentage of Fixyas and Helpfuls. I dont do that much these days, and have noticed a drop. Maybe I should start again.

Here's another tip. I go to my unrated solutions which are more than 2 weeks old and post this:

This thread has gone 14 days or more without a response. Please close the thread with a “FixYa” or “Helpful” rating.

If the issue is not resolved, please post back with latest developments, what steps you took, etc. and I will assist you further as best I can.

Thank you.

Well, actually I just tried that yesterday, and I got an unbelievable amount of ratings..I got 46 of my old unsolved posts rated in 24 hrs. Most of them either Fixya or Helpful. Of course, you do get the odd T$T and Inapps, but that is mostly negligible..

Here are my stats for the past 3 days. Notice the huge number of posts rated after I sent that notice:
29-May 369 88.33% 122 90 76 0 30-May 384 88.35% 126 93 78 1 31-May 427 88.09% 134 111 82 3 Format: Date | Votes | Rating | Fixya | Helpful | T4T | Inapp

Of course, my rating dropped dratically because of those buggering Inapps..but you get the picture...

My clock wont find the time.

I had to press receive on the back of mine until the satellite icon appeared on the top right. It's keeping time correctly now.'s the wrong time zone. We tossed the manual the other day so I'm stuck in Pacific Time instead of Eastern. Hope the top part of this helps. Tom Cassidy

Resetting the atomic clock to the correct time zone, and outside temp to work.

For the Sharp SPC374T Atomic Clock - Time Zone setting- Press the 'Time' button once, the time zone will show where 'Day' usually is, use the Up or Down buttong to adjust.

For the outdoor Thermo, credit to my neighbor for this one. Remove battery from main unit, wait 2-3 minutes. Reload batteries. Once you get a reading from the outdoor sensor, hit the reset on the main unit. You will have to reset the time zone as described above, but this worked for me after 10 months of no outside temp showing up!

Good luck,
