Question about Itronix GoBook III Tablet PC

1 Answer

Itronix Gobook IX250

Hi. I have an old Itronix IX250 laptop. It's operation system is 2000 Professional installed. Works OK. I would like to upgrade the operation system to XP Tablet. I have the DVD for this software and would install this using an external DVD drive and the IX250 only has a CD Rom drive. I am unable to upgrade and I would only be able to do a complete new install which would mean a reformat of the hard drive which would remove all drives for the touch screen. After the new install of XP tablet would the touch screen work 100%. If not would it be posible to download the software to operate the touch screen in XP tablet or would it be just better to leave 2000 Professional installed on it. Any help would be great. Best wishes.

I can't download any apps.its telling me I need to upgrade

Either the Operating System (IOS) on the tablet or the tablet hardware itself is too old to run the app(s). Check for and install an IOS update and try again. If the hardware (tablet) is too old, you'll have to replace it to install the app(s).

I installed windows xp on my toshiba tecra m4. How stylus pen works?

Toshiba Tecra M4-S435 is Tablet PC. Windows XP (Profession) has no option of touch screen.
In order to use the feature, you need to install Windows XP Tablet PC Edition or you may install Windows 7, which supports this feature and you would definately be able to use stylus and touch screen, as I have installed Windows 7 and its working fine with all the drivers etc.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

I need wireless drivers as i am not able to connect to my wreless network. Can you help me to configure to the wireless neetwork Model: Itronix Duo Touch II

the link below will take you to the General Dynamics driver page.

Just select your model and operating system. The WLAN drivers are located in the intel chipset exe as they're the integrated intel ones not a 3rd party

note: windows 7 not supported on Duo-touch II, I had to go back to vista business as I lost funtionality with the buttons and was unable to change resolution above 800 x 600 due to lack of Intel video driver
