Question about Samsung Cell Phones

2 Answers

Samsung sgh-e310 mobile phone. Requests PIN on startup. Entered correct PIN and phone reboots and requests PIN. Have verified that correct PIN is being used. Prior to this, the back of the phone had been removed and the SIM taken out and returned. Have verified that SIM is inserted correctly by referring to the user manual. Why does the phone reboot each time the PIN is input?

The actual solution was to insert another working SIM in the phone which allowed the PIn numbe to be entered, shut down the phone, reinsert the original SIM and this time the PIN was accepted.

Your Samsung device requests PIN (Personal Identification Number) and PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) codes to protect your SIM card and device against unauthorized use. Note that all PIN and PUK codes are provided by your network operator. Samsung is not able to provide you PIN or PUK codes.

Please take note of the following:

When your insert your SIM card and boot up your device for the first time, you need to enter the PIN code. For security reasons it is recommended to change it to your own code, instructions on how to change the PIN code in your device is provided in the user guide or Nokia web site. If the PIN code is entered incorrectly multiple times, your device may request a PUK code to further validate the user's identity and to unlock and change the blocked PIN code.

The PIN2 code is a PIN code which acts as a second layer of protection for certain features of your phone. If the PIN2 code is entered incorrectly multiple times, your phone may request a PUK2 code.

If you have forgot or simply do not know the codes, you must contact your Network Operator for assistance. However, if you have already contacted but the code does not work, you should consider getting a new SIM card.

Puk code number i dont know it

Thanks for visiting FixYa!

When your phone requests a PUC code, the ONLY way to get it is through your Cellular service provider. Call customer service and request tech support assistance. Once they verify that you are the owner of the phone, they'll walk you through the process of entering it on your phone's keypad.

When i startup my phone (Samsung SGH-i450) it asks for my PUK code, to which i enter my default PUK code. Then it asks for a new code and to verify the code. Even after entering the new code and verifying...

A request for a PUK code ("Personal Unlocking Key") will appear on your phone if your SIM card PIN code is entered 3 consecutive times incorrectly.

Your SIM card will then become "PUKed" or Blocked. This is a security measure to protect your service.

You need to call the Customer Service department of your cell phone provider and they will give you the PUK code which will unblock your SIM card.
