Question about Vivitek Televison & Video
It does that because some components (especially the capacitors) have aged and they require a much bigger current to operate. When the current needs are greater than what the power source can deliver the protection systems kick in and shut down the tv; this resets everything and the tv is restarted.
All you need to do is to replace the aged parts and they will cost you less than $25, but for that you need at least basic experience in electronics.If you don't have it the ask a friend , it's a less than an hour job.
If you don't know anyone that can do it you will have to call a repair guy. Get the cheapest you can find.
