I believe E4 on ths 730si means that the speed of the motor the sensor is detecting is greater than the set speed. E2 would be the opposite. I believe there is a way to calibrate the speed. Look at the smaller motor controller board.

Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand on the back end of the unit. Using your left hand, pull the lock knob to the left and hold it. Pivot the treadmill down until the frame is past the pin on the lock knob. Note: You may need to push the handrail to the side slightly. 2. Move in front of the back end and hold the treadmill firmly with both hands, and lower the treadmill to the floor. CAUTION: To decrease the possibility of injury, bend your legs and keep your back straight

This is a speed sensor error. Unplug the unit then remove the motor shroud locate the power board with LED lights plug in unit locate the 5v DC if this is on then replace the speed sensor.The sensor is located on the frame by the front roller pulley or on the Drive Motor itself.
