Sound from only one channel

Turn off the other channel and listen only to the bad channel playing some music. Turn it up! If you hear any music the pre-amp is working and the power amp is faulty. If you don't, then the pre-amp is faulty.
Because it's a stereo amp you have the good channel to compare with the bad. So you can do voltage tests, or "buzz" tests. Buzz Tests or where you apply a insulated tool to the circuits, a buzz will be heard. If it buzzers in the good channel it should in the bad. Ignore the power supply and don't short any parts out!

Sharp R-150 microwave made a buzz sound and shut off, no power to microwave

Hi,
When the microwave won't heat, but you hear a loud buzz, you usually have a defective power diode, high-voltage capacitor, or magnetron. Also usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven.

S10 2.2 5 spd 2wd...electrical problem

Sounds like ur computer. When a computer goes out they seem to go in different ways. Also there should be main circuit relays either under the hood or on driver side dash. If you pop a main relay it will kill all main circuits to protect a circuit melt down. Hope this helps. Thanks Josh

My frigidaire dryer model NMER336FSO just out of the blue quit working. When I hit the start button i can hear a loan buzz, but it wont turn on.

It sounds like your Frigidaire may have one or more problems. If your push to start switch is defective then it will have to be replaced. You can test the switch itself by FIRST disconnecting power. Then taking the switch out and setting a voltmeter to test for continuity, then pushing the start button to see if there is on and off contact being made. Part number for the start switch is 131469000. If this is okay and you are hearing a buzz or low grumble noise coming from the motor area. this could indicate a bad motor winding and would probably have to be replaced. part number for the motor is 131560100. Sometimes however the motor can become seized or dirty connections to the motor can occur due to debris or dust bunnies. so make sure the dryer is CLEAN. If you give the drum a turn yourself manually, while trying to start the dryer this can sometimes give the motor the kick it needs. however this is only a quick fix, and not permanent. You have a well built simple dryer, and there isn't a whole lot that can go wrong with it. Hope this helps

Thnaks.

Flashing protect

the protector comes on to keep the amp from further damaging itself or the speakers. The buzz you heard was probably 60HZ line buzz from the main DC supply conducting full current through one of your speakers through a damaged amplifier transistor. Your stereo will need professional repair. The protect circuit basically opens the speaker relay (and sometimes shuts down the unit) to prevent this DC voltage and current from getting to your speakers until the problem is corrected.

19inch hyundai imagequest monitor problem, no screen picture

The first thing to check is the power supply to the monitor. Mine went a while ago, black screen nothing happening, turns out it was just the power supply. A quick search on your favourite browser will probably turn up a supplier, I found one that just makes monitor power supplies, so it must be a common problem!

If you have a meter test the power coming into the monitor, or if you're unsure put it to your ear when its plugged in, you should hear a faint buzz which means its working. Also check for any breaks in the cable and/or if there is a fuse in the plug which might have blown**

**If a fuse has blown, it might point to another problem, but at least it's a starting point

Samsung dvd/disc protection

Try a hard reset: unplug from power source, remove all cabling and wait for 5 minutes before recabling.

If that fails, it is a logic board error, in which case you are probably better off buying a new device..
