Question about Sony 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Memory Card

Can't access pictures taken

Hi,

While using my Sony Cybershot, it came up with an error: on the screen, it said "access" and would not let me take any pics or access the ones I had taken. No luck via USB to computer nor via memory card reader in Computer or at Photo kiosk. Camera works fine on internal memory, but gives the same message every time I re-insert the memory stick (2GB Pro Duo). Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Roshan, thanks for your reply. However, I already know the problem is with the memory card itself; I am not interested in a replacement card - the most important thing is to try to find a way to retrieve my lost photos. Any further help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If you can't access the memory card even with a card reader...your camera is working fine...the problem is ith your memory card (internal problem)...if your warranty is not finished sony will replace that to a new one

My Sony memory stick pro duo magic gate mark 2 is not shows images on pc but in my camera, but the photos are visible on Sony cybershot camera

Some Sony Cybershot camera's have a small amount of memory built into the camera. Double check that the camera is set to put the pictures onto the memory stick.
If the camera is set up correctly, the memory stick may not be formatted correctly for your computer. If at all possible, connect the camera to your computer directly with the USB cable that should have come with it.

Sandisk 4gb memory card not working

Hi,

it would be easier if you contact the shop you purchased the Scandisk from and get it mailed back to the shop. They would ship via mail a replacement to you. If not take it to another Sony center in your area and show you receipt for purchase. They should fix this for you.

Pictures stored on card, and unable to retreive them on camera

Have you tried accessing the pictures via a card reader connected to your PC. It is possible the card is damaged and you will not be able to recover your pics. But it is worth a try. If you do not have a card reader take the card to a camera shop and see if they can see and manipulate the pics to another card, then reformat the card and reinsert it to see if it then reads anmd writes.

If you go to the Sony web site, they have a recovery software that you can use for free. Give that a try.

Sony

there might be a problem with the file system you are using with with memory stick..insert it into card reader > format it with fat 32 file system..and insert it again to solve your problem.....if problem still persist .insert your memory card into mobile and goto your memory card > now select option > there you will see format memory card > so it will format your memory card with correct file system that your mobile wants.....
