It is going to be very difficult to find the actual plastic piece you are looking for since the juicer is so old. I personally recommend you use something like a generic muddler, something like this and you should be good to go:

Do a web search and type in Tristar Blender Model yd 208 motor. If you can get the part number from your old one, that'll make the search even easier.

My brush piece is corroded

El8807 - call customer service at 800-896-9756 push 1 or 2, then push 3. They sent me a new replacement, no cost. Need your Serial Number so they know date of purchase. 5 year warranty. Best vacuum ever, better than dyson and cheaper by 100%, but the brush stopped working after getting tangled. Called support and they replaced. Great. Cheers!!!

Dyson DC 25 power switch replacement

It a fairly straightforward procedure. Remove the accessory hose to expose 4 torx screws from behind that hold the front switch cover in place. After removing the screws, gently pull the front switch cover and carefully pry two plastic tabs apart using a small screwdriver that "snap" cover in place. The switches will be exposed. The electrical connectors each have a tiny lock button at the base of the terminal that you need to push to remove. Otherwise they won't pull off easily. Assembly is reverse with one note: You'll have to hold the plastic cover and push buttons together so they don't fall out as you place the the cover back on. Once you get it on, the plastic tabs will hold until you install the torx screws. Be sure to retest the push buttons to make sure there was no binding in reassembly.

If I may add one more thing- I believe all DC25's carry a 5 year warranty and switch failure is covered. I replace these routinely. If you call Dyson, they will likely refer you to an authorized repair center for replacement at no charge.

How do you remove the coupling on model kichenaid ksb560mco. it doesnt spin off like some online instructions say.

It should spin off when you stop the motor from turning. Use a long flat bladed screwdriver positioned against one of the teeth of the coupler on the angled side of the tooth. Then hit the screwdriver with a hammer to drive it into the plastic tooth without breaking off the tooth. (Note: it's a left-handed thread, not the more common right-handed thread. So you need to turn it clockwise to loosen.)

The hard part is getting that motor connection to stop turning with the coupling.

If you want to save the coupler and some damage to the blender when the screwdriver slips, get the blender coupler removal tool. See http://www.kitchenaidblog.com/blender/kitchenaid-blender-rubber-coupler-9704230-with-removal-tool/ for a link to buy both. Slide the removal tool under the old coupler to hold the knob from turning. Then turn the coupler to remove it. For some a pair of pliers helps you start the coupler moving. (It can get stiff over time.)

I hope this helps.

I bought a new plastic end piece for the hose but can't get the old one off the hose to change it???

Soak the end of the hose it very hot water to soften the end of the hose. Then insert a screwdiver inside the plastic end piece and flex the end of the hose inward and pull the old end off. To install the new end, bend the end of the hose into a "kidney bean" shape and push the new end on.

It will not turn on. No lights, no power what so

The most common problem with the windtunnel series is the small switch inside the handle. The plastic switch you touch is NOT the electrical switch. It is a plastic arm that pushes on the actual switch. Sometimes the switches burn up and othertimes the rod that comes from the thumb switch does not push the on/off well enough. It could also be the cord, inspect it for large gouges and exposed wire, that may also be your problem.

Some simple things to fix this.
  • If its less than a year old its still under warranty. If you have a sales reciept go to hoovers website and look up the nearest servicing warranty dealer. They'll fix it and send the bill to hoover.
  • Tighten the screws on the back of the handle, if they become lose, the thumb switch rod does not reach the actual switch.
  • Check the cord for obvious problems like exposed wires and large kinks or twists.
  • pull on the metal part of the electrical plug (when unplugged) sometimes they come right out leaving little connection.
If you are more capable you can take the handle apart and replace the switch, it is semi difficult if you are not mechanicly inclined. To do this remove the screws in the upper rear of the handle and pull the handle towards the back of the machine and off. then pull out the piece of plastic that is in back of the hand tools giving you access to the wires. Then simply squeeze the switch through the opening, replace and reinstall. One of these will solve your problem.

Best of Luck!

Dyson suddenly hard to push on carpet

I know this sounds silly, but it works. Turn it over and wipe all the black residue off the bottom of it (off the plastic on the bottom that rubs on the carpet as you push and pull it). I thought my husband was out of his mind when he told me that was the solution, but it really works.

VACUUM REPAIR

There are 2 tabs that stick out on the release, they fit in slots, so from the top look down and you can see them, using a flatblade screwdriver that will fit in there, push the side in to release it, which isn't easy, but it can be done. When you get the old one out, then the new one, push down on it until it locks into place.

Electrolux Renaissance Hose Replacement

Notice how the hose has a groove just around the outer edge of the gray plastic near the white plastic insert. The hose is held into the handle buy two "tongues" inserted into this groove. One of these tongues is on the end of the top plastic piece of the handle. The second is on the piece of plastic that is slid into the little hole at the base of the handle and it is visible in the picture.

To remove the first, you'll have to remove the two screws in the top of the handle that hold the top plastic piece. This can be a challenge unless you have the right tool. It's essentially a hex-star allen wrench tool that is required, I'm guessing about 1/16 inch. I had one in my tool box that fit. Remove the screws and pop the top plate off. This frees the first tongue from the groove. Now, just get a screw driver (or use your finger) to press the plastic piece inserted in the hole at the bottom of the handle. Press from the "t" side and this should slide right out. Now your hose will slide right out of the handle and you can replace the old with new. Re-insert the small plastic insert, and refasten the top plastic piece of the handle and you're good to go.
