Question about Televison & Video
That is not a good sign at all. Try unplugging the player from the power source for a good 2 minutes, replug it in and right away hit the eject button. It sounds like the DVD player itself may be having hardware failure, thats what the flashing standy button usually means. Try resetting it the way I talked about, hopefully you can at least get the disc out. From there you can try playing it again if the dvd player seems to be functioning normally.
