Question about Graco Nautilus 3-in 1 Car Seat

2 Answers

We have purchased 2 Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 car seats and we have had them about 6 months. We are having a big problem with the buckle sticking. We push down as hard as possible and the buckle has a really hard time ejecting. My Sister in Law has the same problem with the same model. Thanks for your help!

I am having the same problem with my car seat. May be we need to contact Graco to see if they can correct this problem. There is no way of saving a child if there is an accident or fire. My fingers hurt from trying to unbuckle. This is insane. Graco needs to recall this seats!!!!!

When I clean my graco nautilus car seat I completely take it apart. I put the fabric in the washing machine and hose down the plastic seat part. After I scrub it down with water and soap, I heat some water up in water heater (to boiling). I then pour the boiling water into the key holes where the straps click into. Be very careful, you don't want to burn yourself. I usually try and position the latch so that it is standing up and I very gently pour the boiling water directly into the holes/slits that the straps click into.I dry everything off and put it back together. This has always fixed the problem. Obviously you can't do it while the child is stuck in the seat but whenever it starts sticking even just a little bit, I take it out and completely clean it this way. Hope this helps!

Winnie the pooh graco car seat how to put the arm straps back together after washing

I had the same problem, so what I did was look at the first picture from walmart.com's page with this car seat.
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10843110

I noticed where the straps went through the restraint systems, and remebered that I took the bottom ones out last, so I'd put them in first.

Then I threaded the straps through the buckle parts that snap to the bottom buckle, up through the buckle parts that snap together, then back through the holes in the cover and seat at whatever height your infant is. After that you secure it in the back like the sticker at the side indicates :)

I hope that's clear enough!
