Question about Xerox Phaser 7400DN Laser Printer

Ho installato la mia stampante xerox 7400DN sun un Machintosh con sistema operativo OS X 10.6.4 Utilizzo per la grafica ADOBE Illustrator CS4 e quando vado a stampare la stampante non mi permette di utilizzare il dispositivo fronte/retro e neanche l'uscita laterale per le carte di maggior spessore. Il problema è uguale anche utilizzando i file PDF con Adobe Acrobat Pro Ho scaricato ed installato l'ultimo driver prelevato dal sito della Xerox ma non ho risolto il problema. Come posso fare? From my expreiences with that product, you should reload the machine software.
If the machine is less than one year old call for service it is under warranty.
If not you can go to www.xerox.com and download the firmware,10.100.32.000.
It will resolve many software issues on that product.
You can download it to your computter then upload it to your machine.
Some of the versions of software on that product have some issues. Most are resolved with that version.
You will also need to download the 4150 printer setting utilities if you are going to do this yourself.
You may lose your LDAP settings, so be sure you print out a settings or configuration page before you do the upgrade.

Recently I had to configure a 17" Aluminum PowerBook and a Xerox Workcentre PE 16. That multifunction laser monochrome printer is not supported by MacOS X, but I tried all the same.... and no glue for that, until I went on the Samsung webpage and noticed their SCX-4216F printer. This machine is the same as the PE 16.

So I downloaded the lastest drivers from Samsung's download centre (drivers for Tiger too), installed the drivers on the PowerBook (running 10.3.4), connected the printer and when I selected the printer ... tada! It automatically selected the Samsung driver, so I clicked on OK and started printing. Everything was OK!

But it doesn't end here: even the Lexmark X215 MPF has the same chassis as the Xerox and Samsung. Yet, on Lexmark's website there are no Mac OS X drivers, but Samsung's drivers work just the same. I hope this hint will help others...

If the printer does not have a hard drive. Pdf will be hard to print.
Second, Are you using a PS driver or PCL? If PCL change to PS.

Here are some direct printing setups also.

To download a PDF file directly to the printer from Windows 2000 / XP / Server 2003:
To download a file to a printer that is connected using an Ethernet (network) cable, use the FTP command or CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS). To download a file to the printer that is connected directly to the computer with a USB cable, use the Xerox File Downloader Utility.
To download a file to the printer using the FTP command:
NOTE: To perform this solution, the printer must be connected to a network that utilizes the TCP/IP protocol. The printer must also contain a valid IP address. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for additional information.
Not all web browsers can be used to perform this solution. If problems occur when performing this solution, download the file using CWIS. See the To download a file to the printer using CWIS section below.

  1. From the computer, open an Internet browser window.
  2. Type: ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, where the x characters represent the IP address of the printer, in the Address field.

    NOTE: The IP address of the printer can be found on the Configuration Page. See the Related Items below for additional information.

  3. Press [Enter] on the keyboard. A blank FTP connection window with a [.] icon will be displayed.
  4. Drag and drop the file to be sent to the printer into the blank FTP connection window. The file will be sent to the printer.
To download a file to the printer using CWIS:
NOTE: To perform this solution, the printer must be connected to a network that utilizes the TCP/IP protocol. The printer must also contain a valid IP address. If necessary, contact your System Administrator for additional information.

Non sono sicuro se questo possibile. Guarda su ebay per un disco sostitutivo (simile a quello in dotazione con il computer), o acquistare una copia di Windows. Ho usato disco sytem operativo DELL per ripristinare computer di HP in passato, non necessaria per stessa marca.

Hai installato di recente Nokia Internet Services Support? Se l'hai fatto disintallalo dalla gestione applicazioni, dovrebbe funzionare di nuovo.

SmartBase MP360 appena avviata per qualche secondo fa rumore di pettine contro acciaio e non funziona


Questo rumore clunking / rettifica di solito ? un ingranaggio inceppato o una barra di controllo provocando qualcosa da cedere il passo (di solito l'elastico con i denti su di essa dietro la testa). Ho risolto i problemi simili su HP e Epson e ogni volta che ha bisogno di una striscia gi? e un attento esame delle lavorazioni. con Epsons di solito era un ingranaggio che aveva saltato un dente e poi la tempistica era fuori causando un inceppamento. Con polipi iperplastici, di solito un frammento di carta nelle opere o inchiostro schizzato su uno dei tanti sensori ottici, facendo accadere le cose nell'ordine sbagliato. Il mio MP360 inceppata con i capi in sosta (ma senza clunking). Ci? ? stato causato da inchiostro secco mescolato con polvere di rendere il meccanismo di pulizia pigro e (in qualche modo) jamming la testa. Ho preso le coperte per spegnere la stampante (un lavoro lento) e pulito tutto, ri-ingrassate. problema scomparso. Attualmente ho le teste ammollo in una miscela di alcool, detersivo liquido e acqua per sbloccare le teste di nuovo.

Ho cambiato le cartucce alla mia stampante mp 630,mi riconosce solo il giallo e il magenta,ho fatto una 20 di volte la pulizia ma niente


Ciao.


Assicurati d'aver rimosso il nastro adesivo dalle cartucce.

Controlla i contatti dentro l'alloggiamento delle cartuccie. Eventuamente pulisci i contatti con alcol e cotone idrofilo.

Fai un test usando altre cartucce. Cartucce difettose sono un problema abbastanza comune.

Se questo non risolve il problema, e la stampane non riconosce NESSUNA cartuccia, neanche le originali. Allora qualcuno dei contatti dietro la testina e' probabilmente rotto.

Questo tipo di guasto non e' comune, di solito sono cartucce difettose, sensore nell'alloggiamento sporco, o problemi software.

Controlla anche il software stampante, reinstallalo rimuovendo prima la stampante dal pannello di controllo. Assicurati d'aver seguito la procedura di rimpiazzo usando il software Canon. Il semplice scambio di cartucce puo dare adito a problemi.

Questo spesso succede quando colleghi la stampante prima di aver installato il software, o quando non installi tutto il software.

Devi installare tutto il software presente sul disco, controlla anche il cavo usb, un cavo usb difettoso puo far funzionare la stampante e non lo scanner.

Se non funziona, fai un system restore (recupero del sistema? non mi ricordo come si chiama in Italiano.
Dicevo fai un system restore da Avvio>>programmi>>accessori>>utilita di sistema...

Questa procedura riportera' il computer come stava prima che Windows installasse automaticamente i driver per la stampante.

Dopo il system restore installa tutto il software sul disco della stampante SENZA collegare la stampante finche' esplicitamente richiesto dal programma di installazione.

Se non hai il disco devi scaricare i programmi dal sito Lexmark, che pero e' in inglese, o chiedere una copia del disco al rivenditore.
