Hi.

E11 is Drying error with RMC Maximum allowable RMC time exceeded. That means that the electronic control did not receive signal from moisture sensor that drying cycle has finished (RMC means residual moisture sensor).
This should happen only on RMC controlled cycled.

To start, you replace the timer board only when there is clear on board fault (melting components etc.) , or when everything else is tested OK. If the machine was never completing the cycle before, then it can be a faulty RMC sensor. Check also the wiring from control board to RMC.

    Hi.

The RMC use two collector graphites attached to the drum as sensor. Before replacing the collector graphites, check that the wiring is OK, the wiring is attached to drum and drum bearing, and it is of difficult access. This is not an easy repair.

Here a service manual, locate and read the paragraphs "replacing the drum bearing with RMC sensor" (the drum bearing must not be replaced, bit it shows how to access RMC wiring), and the final chapter RMC.

Rather than replacing parts, the first part of the job is carried using a multimeter to test continuity (impedance) between points in wiring and RMC connectors on timer board. This is done reading Ohms between the extremes of a wire, if wiring is good, multimeter will read zero or very low impedance, if wiring is bad it will read open (infinity).
All tests must be done with power off.

Here a service manual, click to open the file.

Below pictures of graphite collectors and pictures of wiring at drum bearing.

Note: if the only error is E11, then the machine should work on non RMC programs with no errors. If there are additional errors, then there are additional problems.

Hi Ihave an electrolux EWD 1477 washer/ dryer. It keeps showing up an error E90 and starts beeping and stops working? Any ideas how to fix it ? Thanks kindly

E90 is family error code visible to the customers. It is necessary to read the error in the service mode so please proceed with the following procedure for rapid reading of alarm codes:
Press and hold down START/PAUSE and the option button nearest to the START/PAUSE button for at least two seconds!
After that the display will show one of the following errors that are more precise:
E91, E92 - Communication incongruence between main board and display board (versions not compatible). Posible causes: wirings, main board or control/disply board.
E93 - Incorrect configuration of appliance. Posible causes: Incorrect configuration data; electronic board faulty.
E94 - Incorrect configuration of washing cycle.
Posible causes: Incorrect configuration data; electronic board faulty.
E95 - Communication error between microprocessor and
EEPROM. Posible causes: Electronic board faulty.
E97 - Incongruence between programme selector and
cycle configuration. Posible causes: Faulty electronic board (Wrong configuration data).
Considering that this is a complicated fault, my advice is to contact an authorized service center. They have special equipment such as an interface that allows them to upgrade software in your appliance. If you are not doing anything on the appliance before the failure, the only thing you can check is the contacts between wiring and electronics.

How do you fix e11 code?

Hello friend, thanks for your post!
I see that your Electrolux washer is giving off an "E11" error code. An "E11" stands for water is not entering, which can be several possibilities. The water supply to your home has been interrupted or water pressure may be low. Check the hoses to assure they are not kinked and the drain pipe is proper per installation. If these steps have not resolved your issue it could be a problem within the control panel and I would perform a reset on your appliance, which is disconnecting power from it for roughly ten minutes. Hopefully this helps. -Matt

I installed a new control panel in my Frigidaire dryer and it displays E11. Is there anything I can do to clear this code?

Hi Steve, thank you for your question!

Generally, error code E11 means that it has detected an internal checksum error or processor error. First check to see if it is a false error code by resetting the power to your dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker for about 30 seconds. If the error code persists, your dryer may have a faulty main control board. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. It is always a good idea to get the appropriate diagnosis prior to making any unnecessary part replacements.

Best of luck!

Error code e61

Identification
  • GE dryers use three-character codes that display on LCD screens. Every code starts with "E" and is followed by a two-digit number.
Power Failure
  • When your home loses power, the "E01" error flashes on the screen. Reset the dryer memory by unplugging the device, waiting 30 seconds and plugging it back in. The error code will disappear.
Thermistor Errors
  • Errors "E02," "E03," "E04" and "E05" are thermistor errors. The thermistor, when operating properly, reads the temperature of the dryer. Errors E02 through E05 indicate the thermistor must be replaced.
Effects
  • When there is an error with the door switch and sensor, the "E60" error code will appear. An unbalanced door will produce the E60 code. Try to close the door gently and listen for the click. If the error remains, the door switch may need to be replaced.
Control Board Errors The control board sends signals from the controls to the dryer. When this fails, errors "E61," "E80" and "E81" appear. Contact GE service or install a new control board for the dryer

E11 code on electrolux dishwasher

You are experiencing a drain valve issue - Main Control Board timed out before receiving status of drain valve. Check wiring between Main Control Board and drain valve. If correct, replace drain valve. If error still exist, replace Main Control Board.

Error code E11 on hoover washer dryer vhw854d

Error code E11 is a dryer thermostat problem. The wiring, by design, is too short, and secured too tightly up and behind the digital display, and extends to a connector located on the machine's drum housing. When the machine is in motion, and there is a degree of drum movement back and forth, left to right, the wire disconnects resulting in Error code E11. Your issue may be that the wire is loose, and not fully disconnected (yet) hence the fault being intermittent. Error code E11 requires a service engineer to reattach the thermostat wiring in a way that allows for the drum housing to move, as per it's design, without the wire being disconnected from the drum housing connector, when the wash load becomes unbalanced during the wash cycle.

TROUBLESHOOTING KENMORE ELITE HE3T FRONTLOAD WASHER WITH THE ERROR CODE F70

The F70 and F71 error codes on this model of washer indicates a communication problem between the user interface control board and the central control unit (main control board). These error codes can sometimes be caused by a power surge or glitch through the electrical lines. Try unplugging the washer to completely disconnect electrical power. Wait 1 minute and then plug the washer back in to the see if the fault code clears. If it does, then the washer may work normally.

If the code reappears, then you could have a wire harness connection problem, a failed user interface control board or a failed central control unit. I recommend calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair this type of problem so that the correct component can be replaced.

Be sure your unit is plugged into a 3 prong grounded outlet as well.

F71 is a "heatbeat failure" which means that your front interface control board is shorted and will need to be replaced. it's actually fairly easy to replace and can definitely be done by yourself. To access the part, just pull the unit forward and remove the 3 screws coming in from the back of the top panel. Remove the top panel by pulling it back, up, and off. Then remove all the screws going into the top of the control panel. Remove the dispenser drawer and remove the screws coming in through the dispenser. Remove the screws coming from the inside of the dryer going forward into the control panel, then remove the control panel (it's just clipped in on the bottom. After that you can disconnect the wire harnesses to the front interface control board and replace that part.

Dryer will not start

There is a start relay on the computer control board. You probably hear a very dull click. That click is the relay on the computer board trying to engage, but it won't and therefore your dryer won't spin and your board sends a beep and perhaps an "E11" error code to the LED display (Not sure on Kenmores.).

In plain english, you have a bad control board now and will have to replace it. Cost about $130.
