Question about IBM ThinkPad A20M Notebook
I have recently bought two 256 mb of ram for my laptop. When I installed them and tried booting up. I kept getting a windows error and to try to fix it with my windows disk. I said to restart the computer and push "R" at the first screen. It just said windows error code 4. I put my two pieces of 128 mbs of ram back in it and everything worked right. I checked and the two 256 mbs of ram are suppose to be the right ones.
If they are compatible but your machine isn't happy with them, it sounds like they're faulty. Return both sticks to the retailer and ask them to replace both, just in case they replace the good one and give you the faulty one back.
