SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Uniden BC700A, has been in storeage for a few years now when pluged in will not turn on.

Remove Batteries if fitted unplug from mains power point. Buy a spray can of electrical contact cleaner,CRC or equivalent.
This spray can be bought from radio shack ,Tandy or siiliar stores.
Unscrew cover of scanner and spray a little on the "on/off" switch, and toggle switch on and off while unit is isolated from mains power and battery power.
If your unsure how to remove cover ,spray a little directly on outside of switch and toggle on and off .
wipe off excess spray and try to power up again.
Hope this helps.

Need help to repair 780 XLT Uniden..Scanner..

You can try a system reset (press and hold 2,9, and MANUAL while powering up), but chances are that the display is shot. You can try a local repair shop if you have one that you trust, but I recommend contacting the service folks at Uniden.com for a price quote on repairs.

How do you program in the frequency

There is no programming on this radio. With power and an antenna connected, turn the power on and you should see a channel number in the display. Turn the volume up about 1/4 of the way, and turn the squelch down. You should hear either transmissions or noise. If all you get is silence, the receiver section is "fried." If the unit does not power up at all (no lights/displays at all) then you most likely have a blown fuse - a simple fix.

Programing for uniden bearcat scanner bc 144xl

danval, I looked up a pic of your scanner and it is pretty straightforward. If it is the 16 channel I was looking at, here is the step by step programming.
1- Push manual button to go to the channel you want to start programming.
2- Enter the freq number in.
3- Push the E button to enter it in the memory.
4- To review what you programmed, push the Review button.
5- Use manual button to step to next channel and start over from #2
That should get you started with the scanning hobby.
The scanner has a Priority button that when activated will stop scanning and go immediatly to the priority channel if someone keys their mic.
If you need freq's (or more of) for your area, go here and click on your state and county and it'll give you a complete listing.
