The songs that do not play are in a format that is not readbale by the player, or the music service you got them from has an expired subscription or license. Not showing up on computer - Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

My mp3 is skipping on some of my songs

The songs are in the wrong format - it does not recognize iTunes songs or DRM-encrypted songs which do not have "transfer rights" (many msuic services - especially free ones but also paid ones - give you WMA's that have "play rights" -i.e. you can play them on your computer; but if they do not have transfer rights, they will show up in your player, yet not play correctly/skip).

Transfer only songs that are in Mp3 Format and you will never have this problem.

Actually, you do not have the same problem - random deletion is caused by DB corruption, and can be solved by updating the player's firmware at www.rcapearl.com
