Linksys router unidentified network....receiving full signals but showing unidentified network ...i hv checked SSID and key both are correctly entered....

Try resetting the router and then configure it again.
To reset the Linksys back to the default settings - Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON for 20 secs. then release the RESET button.
To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

I can't connect to netflix. Error code 52031 Rita

Error Code: 52031 Was this information helpful? Unable to connect to your wireless network
Likely cause: It appears that the security settings entered into the Wii console are not the same as what your wireless router is set to allow, or your router is not able to assign the Wii an IP address.
How to fix: Make sure the security key and security type are entered into the Wii exactly as they appear in your router's settings; manually assign an IP address to the Wii.
  1. Don't know how to find your router's security key? Let us help! Select the brand of your router below and we'll show you how to access your router's settings. Linksys Netgear DLink Belkin Apple 2Wire All other brands
Once you have entered the correct WEP or WPA key into your system, try the connection test again. If the problem persists, keep reading this page.
    Additional information:
    • Using an Actiontec or 2Wire router? The default security key is often found on a sticker located on the router.
    • Security keys are case-sensitive.

    16. If the test was successful, then your Wii is now connected online. If you received error code 52130, please call 1-800-255-3700 so that we may assist you further.
  3. Other suggestions:
    • Did this connection used to work but has suddently stopped? "Power cycle" your router by unplugging it from the power outlet. Wait a few minutes, and plug the router back in. Wait a couple of minutes for it to initialize, and try to connect the Wii console online and test for proper response.
    • The Wii may have detected and set itself to the wrong security type during the initial connection set up. Try creating a new connection file and going through the connection process again (steps), but be sure that when the Wii asks for a security code, the type shown on screen (WEP or WPA) is what your router is set to. If it is different, try a "Manual Setup."
    • Check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Wii console. To help minimize wireless interference, try the following:
      • Make sure other wireless devices such as cordless phones or wireless speakers are turned off, and that the Wii console is an open area without objects or electronics blocking the signal. (For instance, if the Wii is placed in a crowded entertainment center, try moving the Wii somewhere with more room.)
      • Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area.
Still stuck? We can help! We have an easy-to-follow guide that will walk you through the process of finding creating a new connection file and starting from scratch. Even if you're sure you've entered the correct security key, we suggest following our guide to create a new connection file and start over. My roommates laptop is connecting to the internet, mine won't

Sometimes the key length would change for security purposes. What you have to make sure is that you are entering the correct network key.
Use a connected computer like your roommates laptop or hardwired connect you laptop to the router using an ethernet cable to access the setup page of the router.

In your browser's address bar, type 192.168.1.1. By default, leave the username blank, password is admin.
Go to Wireless -> Wireless security.
You will see the network key. Just copy that and enter it on your laptop.
I hope this helps!

Cant grt xbox360 wireless adapter conected to wireless router on pc down stairs

I assume the wireless router is configured correctly and the PC can connect to the wireless router and the Internet.
The problem could be that the signal is too weak upstairs for the XBox especially if you have a concrete floor between the XBox and the wireless router. Try moving the wireless router around to increase signal strength to the CBox.
The other problem could be the XBox is not configured correctly.
Follow these instructions to configure the XBox.
  1. In the Xbox Dashboard, go to My Xbox and open System Settings.
  2. Select Network Settings, Configure Network.
  3. On the Basic Settings tab, select your wireless settings.
  4. Select the name (SSID) of your wireless network. If your router isn't broadcasting your network's name, select Specify Unlisted Network and enter the name.
  5. If your network has wireless security, enter your WEP or WPA key.
  6. Try to connect to Xbox LIVE again.

Can not connect to my netgear wireless network

Hi, are u sure if you are using the correct WPA key. You can check the same by following the steps below:

Please follow the steps on a computer connected to the router so as to check the network key:
1. Open the browser(Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox).
2. Access the router usually http://192.168.1.1 else try http://www.routerlogin.com
3. Login to the router (User Name = admin Password = password unless you have changed it).
4. Click on Wireless Settings'(under Setup) from the left menu.
5. Check if 'WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)' or 'WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)' is selected under 'Security Options'.
6. If WPA-PSK is selected, copy the code entered in the passphrase.
7. If WEP is selected, copy the code entered in the Key that has a black dot before it.
This is the code required for connecting the wireless computer to the routers' wireless network.

Connec to the wireless network using this key.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

Can't connect a laptop wireless to WRT150N

What you can do is remove the wireless connection profile that is saved and create a new one. Go to wireless connection properties and create a new wireless profile. If that doesn't work, what you can try is change the wireless channel of your router to Standard Mode using channel 11 the power cycle the router.

I tried to secure my router but had trouble doing so, I cannot connect to the internet now

i assume that you have tried to secure your router using a wireless computer. if so, there's a possibilty that you have sucred your router successfully and you need to connect you computer again to the wireless signal using your password. if you can't remember your wireless password or if the password you are typing is not being accepted, you need to hardwire a computer to the router to double check the wireless settings that were enabled on the router. once you have verified all your wireless settings, connect the computer wirelessly and enter the correct wireless password/network key and check if you'll get internet connection again

hope this'll help you but if not just indicate the exact brand and model of your router and your wireless adapter.

ciao!

Can't get online with laptop

i assume that you're connecting your laptop wirelessly. if so, check if the laptop is connected to the wireless signal of the router. there would be a wireless icon that can be usually found at the bottom right hand corner of the screen (if you are using windows but if your laptop is a mac, look for the airport icon) that'll detect the available wireless signals. make sure to connect to your own network and enter your correct wireless security (network key) if you have enabled it.
hope this'll help you but in case if not, just provide the exact model of your router, the model of the laptop, your operating system and the model of the wireless card.

Linksys wireless card with ASUS WL520g Router - encryption error

you have changed the network key, but why update the username and password as it should always be the same which is the one supplied to you to connect to your service providers connection, assuming you mean the security key, go to your pc and search for your network again, as it will be trying to connect to a non existant unsecured router. When it searches and finds the networks in your area, choose yours click connect and the enter password window should pop up to be entered. Go to your browser and clear old temp files and cookies in tools, internet options, restart pc and you should assuming you have put the correct settings in be online.
