Question about T-Mobile Dash Smartphone

Wet dash What can you do if the reader sticker in the back which indicates that it has swallowed some water turnns red. I mean i just dipped it in the hot tub but only got soaked for about 2 seconds. I opened it up and air compressedly blew out the rest of the liquid.... It wont turn on... Lol... Just like a married couples mate...lol.. There has got to be somethin I can do... that **** should not ruin a phone... it was pretty expensive for what I paid for cuz I ggot it when it first came out.... Sio thjat is complete ********... Who's gonna call my bluff and take the challenge,,..? anyone? ...?

    i had the same problem. however, i have gotten it turn on...but then it just goes into a series of alarm reminders and doesn't seem to recognize any buttons when they are pressed. i have power though, which is encouraging. i just need to figure out how to fix the buttons

REMOVE THE STICKER!!! :)

DId you let the phone dry out completely? You need to have done that first.

Next try to see if you get a light when charging.

- other than that you might be out of luck.

You will have to get a firmware update. I have fixed alot of these issues. You can try to do it online through htc.com or take it to a local repair shop. If no one can assist you you can try 303.482.1288 wireless image. Make sure you dont have water damage on the phone by checking the water mark on the back of the phone there is a white sticker indicator if it is red then it has water damage. hope this helps

humidity can slowly change it, and same thing just more intence having the phone in the room when you shower even if it doesn't get wet. the tape is to sensative I have a hero that has been slowly changing color. and they tell me its been wet when it has not. the sticker isn't even all the way changed on mine but seems in two months it will be all the way changed. I think there should be a class action suit against them

You can try to see if it will work after drying it out completely.
But yes - most BB's will stop working once exposed to water. Thats why they put those little white square stickers in the battery compartment. Those turn pink or red when exposed to moisture. That way the cell phone companies can see when you got your BB wet - and they don't cover liquid damage.

The USB connected screen is frozen on my reader and I don't know how to fix it.


The Reader may not turn on, or it may appear to be frozen if the unit needs to be reset, the battery is completely discharged or moisture condensation has occurred. Please perform the below mentioned steps and check whether it helps. Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the Reader status after completing each step.
1. Connect the Reader to a USB connection or optional AC adapter. Allow approximately 5 min for it to turn on. If it does not turn on automatically, try to turn it on again. If it still does not turn on, continue with the rest of this procedure. 2. Perform a soft reset. Just press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object 3. After the RESET button has been pressed, slide the POWER switch to activate the Reader again. If the Indicator light next to the power button on the Reader is yellow , the unit is attempting to start up. If this is the case, allow it a few moments to complete startup. 4. If startup did not complete, connect the Reader to the computer or optional AC adapter and perform a soft reset again. 5. Disconnect the Reader from the computer (if applicable) and then slide the POWER switch to activate the Reader. Check if the Indicator light next to the power switch on the Reader is yellow (indicating it is turning on) and if the unit is responding. 6. If the unit is not responding but Starting up... is displayed on the screen, attempt a hard reset. 7. If the unit is still frozen, connect it again to the computer or optional AC adapter and while connected, check if the Indicator light next to the power switch on the reader is red . If this light is red , allow the Reader to charge for one hour so there is sufficient charge for troubleshooting.
* If your computer goes into hibernation or sleep mode, charging will stop and the red charge indicator on the Reader will turn off. * It is recommended to charge the Reader while you are using the computer or to adjust your sleep/hibernation settings of your computer to avoid any interruption in the charging process. You also can use the optional AC Adapter model ACS-5220E. 8. Once the Reader has sufficient charge, perform these troubleshooting steps again. 9. Under certain circumstances, moisture condensation can occur. Moisture condensation can be caused by moving the Reader between temperature extremes or if the Reader has come in direct contact with moisture. If you suspect moisture as the cause, allow the Reader to sit for a few hours before attempting to turn it back on.
General notes regarding the battery status: * You can verify the charge status by disconnecting the Reader from the computer and checking the battery indicator. The battery indicator will display 4 black bars when it is fully charged. * It will take approximately 4 hours to achieve a full charge with a computer. It will take approximately 2 hours to achieve a full charge with the optional AC Adapter.

Yellow light. Won't charge. Ugh.


a yellow light indicator usually means that the battery is charging incorrectly could be caused fromgetting wet the whiten sticker on your battery compartment if it is red then it got wet or being dropped the only solution to this problem is to get a new battery and it should work fine after that go to ebay to get a new one cheap hope this was helpful:)

There is battery problem in my htc touch


check the battery if theres a sticker thats red with red pluses on it.well it should be white with red pluses on it other than that it probably got wet somehow sorry dude.tried my best : )

this is a moisture detector. when the battery is exposed to water, the red 'x' will bleed off and make the sticker appear pink.

Slight water damage


Don't have a soulution if you don't want to go to the provider. Enless the dot that is on the back behide your battery isn't red then you don't have water damage some things just happen. If it isn't i would take it in seeming you just got it.

I dropped my blackjack 2 smart phone and the battery popped out, then a sqaure sticker in the back of the phone turned a red color and now it wont turn on.


well for the sqaure sticker thats a moister indicator, when this is red this means that the phone as been in or around water. SO the phone prob got wet at some point and thats why the phone will not turn on die to corrosion ,

Sidekick 3 problems


ma sidekick3 has a problem i tink is da battery becuase wen i charge it ova da nite n use it during da day it lasts like 1 or 2hrs n turns oof......zo0 if u noe wasz wrong tell me how 2 fix it????
