The video card is part of the motherboard and there no expansion slots for video cards in a laptop. The only improvement that may be available is to change the video RAM if the BIOS configuration allows it. The video RAM uses part of the main memory (shared RAM) and you may be able to increase the size of the video RAM, but this will reduce the main RAM by the corresponding amount.

Hello srinatha43, hi, laptops are not that easy to upgrade, especially the video card. you are stuck with that built in laptop graphics card. you can only do is upgrade the onboard memory. Or get a better laptop with good graphics card especially the new models.

I am trying to find a video card to upgrade my Dell c610 the card is currently 16Mb. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to advise you, your Dell is a laptop and laptops have a built-in video chip on the motherboard and it cannot be upgraded or changed.
The video card used shared RAM, ie it uses part of the main RAM module/s, You maybe be able to increase the video RAM size in the BIOS, but this will reduce the main memory, so you might want to upgrade the RAM in the DELL.
You only other alternative is to buy a later model laptop.

Am i able to upgrade my video card on my compaq 6515b???

Laptop motherboards have built-in video graphics chips and therefore you cannot upgrade the video card. There are no expansion sockets available for graphics card upgrades.

Want to update my graphics base score nvidia geforce 7000m asus aspire 5520

I'm assuming this is on a laptop? Upgrades to laptops can be tricky. If you're lucky you can upgrade your RAM and allocate more memory to the video from your bios, but even then the upgrade is minimal. Your video card is actually part of your motherboard, as such you would have to upgrade the entire board to upgrade the video card... and at that point you're better off getting a new laptop.

Video Card and memory!

I'm sorry to say that there is usually no way to upgrade the video card in a laptop, so the only alternative is probably going to be to purchase a new machine.

Of course, no laptop is going to be very good at playing games. A Desktop would be a better choice, assuming it has a PCIe slot. You can then purchase any PCIe video card, and in a year or two, upgrade to a newer card to play the newer games.

Graphics cards

Depending on the laptop, the manufacturer often has two or three choices on the video card. Before purchasing you can make the choice. If you have already purchased, you can upgrade to another video card as long as the video card is not integrated on the motherboard. Check the laptop specifications online and see if the manufacturer offers the upgrade before purchase.
