    the high voltage transformer is as big as a fist and has 3 big red wires like a spark plug wires coming out of the top of it

My 1997 ultravision projectionn tv is having yellow shadows.


Best case scenario is your lamp is failing and will need replacing ($200 - $300). Worst case scenario is the panel is starting to fail, meaning it would not be worth repairing. The set is 14 years old and has probably reached its end of life. You can probably replace it for less than a thousand and not only have HDTV but a digital receiver as well.

Hi there, i have an old Philips 43pp925/79 rear projection tv. A few weeks ago convergence ic went bad, so i replaced them both and i replaced 6 resistors. Now there is no bending on the screen but...


You will have to go into Service Menu to realine convergences and What was the STKs numbers you replaced/ and did you go with same part number?I think i have service code for this set will have to look thur my files.

try unplugging the circuit board thats connected to the green picture tube thats the board in the middle then while the boards unplugged try to power up the tv if it works it means your green picture tube is shorted

Unable to converge red/blue


youre convergence ICs need to be replaced. You will need two STK392-120 ICs . You can get new ones here with online free support to help you do the repair, plus they send step by step instructions with pics on how to do the repair. Here is the link.
