Ensure you have ample air flow over the unit. If there's no airflow and your pulling a lot of juice, it has to disipate that heat through the heat sinks. The only way that can happen is to have adequate airflow. Remember nothing kills your boards like heat.

No heat or air barely enough to keep front windshield defrosted

If engine temp is not at normal, change thermostat. If it is, check for trapped air in system.
with cold engine, loosen radiator cap & stART ENGINE, RUN TILL UPPER HOSE GETS HOT (meaning thermostat has opened), then see if air burps out of cap. Shut off engine and keep rad full as engine cools down.thighten cap & keep reservoir full.

Did upper hose get hot?

My amp cuts out when it gets really hot. any reason why it would cut out or get real hot. is it cuz i have it hooked from the battery that powers the car too should i get a bigger battery or a second...

I had a Pioneer amp that did this too. There is no easy fix to it. Just try to keep it cool.
It shuts itself down when it gets to hot so it doesn't have a catastrophic failure. (melt)
There shouldn't be any issues with being wired to your car battery.

Make sure its got plenty of open space(if possible) add a fan maybe.

Or take some of the load off of it by 1. Adding an amp. 2. Turn it down

I would take option 1 You have the amp so you can turn it up in the first place

Good luck

Gfi Breaker 2 Pole 20 Amp: installed 20 amp dbl pole breaker to hot tub. Keep...

When Working with Household Electricity you want to always keep in mind that the BLACK wire ALWAYS carries DEATH. What I mean by this is that working with a Single Phase Circuit (one that uses 120VAC) the only wire that should be carrying a voltage is the BLACK one, the other 2 wires (typically the White Neutral and Green Ground) should both be electrically connected to Earth Ground (usually by being attached to your water pipe.)

It is also possible that your hot tub may use more than 20 Amps.

Amplifier turns off for no reason...while driving. If I restart the car it works again. Turn on lead is still hot (12V) when I test it and yet the amplifier just cuts out for no reason.

if your amp keeps shutting off, it means that you r overworking it, and it's getting hot without minimal time to cool off. my solution is, and i've done this. i bought four mini fans and wired them to the heat vents, two of them to the vents on one side to **** in cool air, and the other two on the opposite to **** out the hot air. this does work, and keeps your amp cool, or buy an amp that comes equipped with a built in fan, you may pay alittle more, as they say you get what you pay for. hopes this works for you

USB port getting HOT

These ports can get quite hot & things attached can draw up to 1 Amp of current, and this can make things quite warm over time... as it draws heat away from the device. Keep an eye on it though.

I have a 200 watt jensen car amp and the protection light keeps coming on when i turn the gain up.

The amp has no way to cool itself off, so it goes in to protect when it gets hot to keep from breaking stuff and blowing a fuse.

Gm 5400 pioneer t amp power light blinking nothing coming through sub also amp gets very hot

I had the problem of blinking light when I was first installing the amp. It was my first install, but after trouble shooting, I found my amp was going into safe mode, because of an inconsistent current- my ground connection was not very good. After sanding down the contact areas on the ground, and posotive connection to the battery, the amp worked and sounds very nice. It does get a little hot, keep it well vented.

Amp keeps overheating

Try to turn down the volume??? LOL No really most likly the voice coil is overheating on the speaker, or the unit is over heating. Try to add a fan on top of the unit as I found this on high powered units, that they are being push hard and getting hot. Is the amp really hot when it does this? If it is then its a normal thing as not enough venilation. if its not hot then theres a problem in the amp and should be bench checked by a pro with load resistors and a tone generatoe as well as a scope to check if theres a clipping problem in the output stage.
