Question about Compaq Armada E500 Notebook
MY E500 DOESN'T NOT WANT TO DISPLAY ANY THING. THE DISPLAY CAN COME ON SOMETIMES AFTER HOURS. There is no problem when using an external screen connected to it. Could someone tell me what to do "? Thanks...
If the external display works fine then the most common fault is the Inverter board for the LCD. By having the external display function properly, the video signal from the video graphics card is working.
The other fault could be, but generally isn't, the TAB welds on the LCD. Usually when these go a portion of the display will be lost first or discoloration e.g. red/white/or black stripe appears.
I generally don't include the CCFL (Cold Cathode Florescent Lamps) as a fault as the inverter is what supplies the voltage to the lamps.
