Question about Panasonic KX-T7630 Corded Phone

4 Answers

I have a tmv50 with a tda 15, and 6 extensions, currently it has a night mode and clients can select some options and leave a message, but I would like to set up lunch/break modes and messages, and get the system to auto answer after several rings, I do have the manual but unfortunately do understand it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, cnavarro posted a free reply and I've followed from that the TDA and TVA are the systems that the phones are connected to, I'm struggling to understand how to program these from the phone, the manualshttp://tiny.cc/yzdep one is there. Thanks for the reply.

I can set the phone to night mode and it has been programmed to allow callers to follow prompts and leave messages after listening to a night message, what I'd like to achieve is when we are unable to answer the phone we can put on a break/lunch message I've now worked out how to put the system into these modes but not how to direct incoming calls to a message. I was also attempting to get the system to go into a message after several rings. I have a TVM50 and TDA15 hope that helps, thanks again Carl

    Hi Gregg,
Thank you, no my original question was directed to here, that is a little clearer, I haven't tried that I kept getting lost in assigning mailbox settings, I was told to assign a destination for the lunch/break a VM identity and record custom service menus and greetings. I'll let you know how it goes, thank you again

Hi, sorry I have a KX T7633 phone not the model mentioned the question I posted originally must have been under this topic and I missed it.

  • carl188 Oct 05, 2010

Hi, I have a KX T7633 phone with a TDA 15 and a KX TVM50 system, I can place the phone line on night menu, but wish to add a break and lunch message and have the phones go to a message after several rings, I can enter the managers menu and tried to follow the user manuals but I'm having difficultly in working out how to get this to work. I can set the system to lunch or break mode easily but the phones still ring as if the mode has not been set, I think I need to set up a voicemail and prompts and assign to a mailbox but would appreciate some guidance on how to to this and correctly assign the message so that clients are directed to it when they call if the system is in lunch/break mode. Thanks

Hi, yes please I can set the mode to lunch/break but cant get the system to autoanswer and don't understand how to set up a message for the lunch/break menu. Yes I think we are using the built in answering machine. We use the phone to collect any messages left and set it to night mode when we close

Hi Tim, I was told when the system was installed that it could be set up this way and we have mailboxes that are empty on several extensions, I just have no idea how to assign or set up new messages. Thanks for the reply

Thanks Tim, I have asked their advice but they want over £150 to provide me with the solution, which has miffed me a little as I pay a yearly fee for service and maintenance. So I thought I'd try myself, so really appreciate any advice even if it is that it isn't possible.

  • carl188 Oct 08, 2010

I'm not overly pleased, and will proably end up cancelling the contract, I'm also not keen on paying a charge to be told it cannot be done. Another option would be to change the promt messages to direct clients to messages only using night mode

So you want a separate mode for "lunch mode" is that correct? And you are using the answering machine built into the TMV50?

Thanks, let me know and I can help!

I am looking to see if it's possible with the built in answering system on that phone to do what you desire. I am not sure that it is... have you seen it set up this way before somehow?

    Thanks

Hmm, I am not seeing anything like that. Have you asked the people that installed it about it since they seem to know about it? I've worked with this model quite a few times and never seen such a thing, but it's possible it exists.. still checking for you

Yup so far that is what I am going to have to go with, not seeing anything like that. That's crazy that they charge you for a service contract but don't provide service? Never heard of such a thing... they even talked about it when they installed the unit, they should be able to provide that "service" for you if such a thing exists.

I'd be all kinds of upset if it were me...

Ok, so does that mean you want to stop here as well? I think that's what I'm getting from your last comment.

I can see if I can start the process of canceling out your question from out end here so you can get a refund.

    Thanks

I have a site saved which allows me to download free all kinds of manuals.I checked out the panasonic kx-t7630 which your problem is listed under but it does not seem to match up with what you have described.I googled tmv50 and it came back with all kinds of results in all kinds of languages of everything BUT a telephone.Would you please elaborate more on the tmv50 so I can research to see what we can figure out to do to solve this?I will be here for a few more hours and will be watching for a response and will reply ASAP.Thanks,Greg

If he answered your question, that is fine.If not, please read on.My interpretation is that it is basically the same as going into night mode, just with 1 different number option. Here we go.For night mode, you enter manager's number, then 1 to change, then 3 for night mode, then 2 to accept. Is this right? For lunch mode it says, enter manager's number, then 1 to change, then 4 for lunch mode, then 2 to accept. It does say that if ithe VPS is being programmed by a KX-TVM maintenance console,it cannot change the company greeting and incoming call service setting and will announce, sorry, this function is not available.Whatever happens,I would like to know please.Good luck! Hi, well I am familiar with this type of phone and I have, now read read the user manual, cover to cover, and I am sorry to tell you but apart from the Night Switch, feature, there is NOT an option to do this. You need a different type of phone to do what you wish, unfortunately.

When the Norstar m7324 phone is set to night mode after business hours, the caller goes direct to voicemail when the caller dials an extension. How do I change it so that it rings at the extension a f

Night service will only control if AA to answer (main greeting) or human, you!.
If people enter extension and it goes straight to vmail then the user invoked that option (Feature 987) which is what you should do when you leave your office.

Panasonic KX T7433 - I need to change the night mode message howevern when I select intercom 165 or intercom greeting and change the message I am unable to select the new message as the new night mode...

It's only that simple if you have a guide to what Custom Service or greeting plays now. When the system moves from Day to Night mode, the installer assigns a menu that plays. You can change it if you know which one. If you don't get the right one, there would be 98 other custom service and 31 other Company messages that you could record to and they'll never play.

My message light will not turn red so I am not aware that I have a message. If I push the "message" button, it is busy

You are missing a lot of information, but here goes. Your message light is unlikely broken in a new phone. Have someone ring your extension and press "4". Now look at your phone and press MESSAGE. The display tells you who left the message and you get 2 options on your soft keys to call or erase the message.

Now, here's the part you left out. What is leaving the message? It could be coming from CO based voice mail, a TVA system, or a SVM card. If it's a TVA voice mail system, it has to be programmed with your mailbox and extension (usually the same). A message left in the General Delivery Mailbox doesn't light anything unless it's programmed to do something, and a message left in your box usually works if it's properly set up to begin with. We try to set up our TDA's to eliminate GDM messages, so that means that Call Forward lights must be lit at every extension that needs voice mail and there's always a choice to direct callers to extension 101 or some other mailbox but the GDM. If it's CO based, you bought the wrong system, and an SVM card has a set of instructions to assign extensions to slots.

Most likely you'll find the missing information in the Programming Manual of the voice messaging system.

Hi there, my business uses Panasonic KX-T7431 Digital Super Hybrid System and we have several lines. when nobody is available to take the call it goes directly to a company message stating are names...

The introduction message is usually setup as a custom service menu. You need to determine if this is the case by logging into the message managers mailbox and listening to find the current greeting. To log into the message manager mailbox, call voicemail, dial #6 then *98(for 2 digit mailboxes) or *998(for 3 digit mailboxes) or *9998(for 4 digit mailboxes), enter password followed by #. Once in the message managers mailbox, press 5 to record messages. Your introduction message could be the company greeting or a custom service menu. Press 1 for the company greeting and follow the prompts to listen to the greeting. Press 3 for the custom service menu, then enter the custom service number 1-100( in your case start with 1 until you find the current introduction message) and follow the prompts to listen to the message. Once you have found the current introduction message record your new message and save.

I want to extend the extension numbers beyond134. is it possible with Panasonic KX-TDA 200

Not exactly sure what you're asking, so I'll give you 2 answers. If you mean extension number 134, the answer is yes. The whole universe of numbers are available to you and by default you can use 100-599 in a 3-digit numbering plan. You can grow beyond extension 134 if you have the hardware to support it.

If you're talking about 134 physical extensions, the answer is "maybe" The 200 has 11 card slots. Slot 11 is usually reserved for an option board for a message card and other features. Card slot 1 is usually a digital card for digital extensions, and you need at least one trunk card (slot 10?). That leaves slots 2-9 (8 total) for other cards. Each card is 16 analog or 32 digital extensions, so if the system is being used for single line stations, the answer is 128, but if digital you can expand the memory and address more than 128 extensions. Actually, I think you can address 256 ports before you have to expand the memory.

Enabling a extension to ring on night mode

We may need to know the exact system you are using and the model of phone.

Also we will need to know the group number the system is using for night mode. Normally group number 601 is day and 602 is night. If you call 602 that would ring the phones currently in night. Also you can try calling at night and watch the screen of the phone that rings if its a smaller screen phone press the info button while its ringing and one of the options will show the night ring group number as well.
Respond to this and I can further help.

Selecting a custom recording.

I was told that the day and night settings in the local applications must be the same. It is in your night call routing table that you need to place the extension in order for the system to know which recording to play when. Then, your system will play the application when it is set in night mode. Hint: When you place the extension in the call routing tables make sure the extension is placed ABOVE the +ALL CALLS line, if applicable, and your ring-in-destination is set to your appropriate application recording. I hope this helps.
