The cost of getting in a man to fix it with all the relevant parts(and getting it right)outway the cost of replacement. so, sorry, buy a new unit.(NEVER use any "tools"to scrape ice,buy a deicer spray.)

Location of bullet piercing valve on sanyo sr4433s compact refrigerator

Does the unit have a manufactures process stub on the compressor casing. That is where I put piercing valves to add refrigerant. Remember that EPA does not allow piercing valves to remain on system and the hole it forms has to be brazed shut. So if it does have a process stub place the peircing valve close enough to the end so you have enough stub to pinch off to braze thehole shut.

If there is no process stub, then install piercing valve in a convenient location in the suction piping and pierce the line. Remove the refrigerant and install a "tee". On one leg of the "tee" install a schreader valve pressure tap and rebraze the joints. Perform and pressure and vacuum test to check for leaks and weigh in the correct amount of refrigerant. Once your proficient at this procedure, it should take about 60 to 90 minutes depending on obstructions around compressor.

Just a comment, low air flow on evaporator give that same indications as a low charge. Make sure the evaporator fan is working and you have good air flow through evaporator section.
Hope this helps

Think i have pierced my freezer board

If the board was damaged then the fridge might shut down or you can experience some faulty errors. If so remove plug and shut down , remove the board and check the panel for the damage. If there was any damage done already this must be reviewed only after a proper check up of the damaged components. If not insulate and reset.

Can a frigidaire (mod.no. fam156r1a) 15100 btu a/c unit be recharged

Hello, yes the unit can be recharged but a piercing valve must be added to the low side of the system in order to do that. The valve pierces the tubing and then the refrigerant can be added.

Dometic Quick Cool compressor freezing and evaporator coil

Could be low. First check air filter, air flow, and evap coil to see if it has restricted airflow. If all seems well, its probably low. The specs will tell you what type and how much refigerant. To access system, you will need a gauge/manifold set, refrigerant, and a piercing or line tap valve for the low pressure side of the system. Of course, first, you need to locate and repair the refrigerant leak.

Can you tell me what type of refrigerant is in my a/c it is a 15 k btu dometic brisk air roof top unit and is about 4-5 years old.I can't find it on the unit also how much will it hold and if its not 134 a...

USUALLY its R22. DO NOT USE ANY REFRIGERANT TIL YOU KNOW IT NEEDS IT THOUGH. The plate is usually inside the top cover and you can read it after removing the cover. If its a 110or 220 AC unit Im almost sure its R22. And the weight listed will be the most you should try to put in it. BUT before you do that you have to put on a piercing valve. And the pressures are higher for R22 than R134A. It will ofcourse depend on the outdoor and indoor temps as to what pressures youll be running as well as fan speed. Freezing is 57-58psig on R22 so the pressure after ruinnign 10 to 15 minutes has to be greater than 57 or 58 PSIG. It is normal for some units to run for a while at a lower pressure when 1st started though so dont jump the gun.
