The Samsung star GT S5233A does not support apps that are directly put into its memory... Find the suitable applications on the internet..for your .jar files.. Upload these to any free wap uploader such as davidpye.com/wap and download them from that site through GPRS..... I've tried the wap uploder method and it works...!!
hope this will help....cheers:)

On a star, you can install games over the air, i.e using internet only.. But if you have a jar or a jad file, you can use ONLY these 3 methods..
1)The upload method
This is for those who have a internet connection on the phone as well as the pc..Just upload the jar file on
getjar or mobile9 or mobiles24 and the the code which is generated can be used to download on the
phone..Its a bit of hard work for us..
2)The Browser method
This is an amazing method of installing games using your browser...Just open your browser and in the
address field,type file:///Mount/Mmc/other files/Name of game.jar the part in reddepends on where the
file is and what it is named..Please change it accordingly..And the game will be automatically installed..
3)Make an HTML file..
Make a txt file and type
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=Name of game.jar">
</head>
</html>

and then save it as a .html file..Then transfer both the jar and html on your phone and then open the html file..
Make sure both the files are in the same directory..

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: how can i download java games on samsung SGH L700

Go to "www.getjar.com". There are many softwares for individual phones. But before downloading the software check that it is compatible with your phone. To do this just select your phone from left-upper part of the site.

How to install Java games on the Samsung L700 without any software or drivers
(I've done this on a pc with Windows XP and don't know how well it would go on any other OS)

In the phone Menu select 'Settings'

Then select 'Phone settings'

Then 'USB settings'

And choose 'Ask on connection'

Plug the Phone in to the PC with the USB cable

On the phone selct 'Media player'

On the PC wait until it detects the phone and select 'Open the device to view files'

Open the folder 'Phone'

You should see the folders: images, Other files, Sounds, Videos

Create a new folder and name it 'Games'

Put any game you want to install in that 'Games' folder

Two things need to made sure of when copying over the games.
Firstly make sure you have the *.jar and *.jad files for each game,
if you don't have the *.jad file, you can download a jad creator
pretty easily, just type it in Google. Secondly each game has
to be in it's own folder, if you just dump all the *.jar and *.jad files
directly into the 'Games' folder only the first game installed will work
(Poorly too).

Unplug the phone

Now on the phone dial the code: *#6984125*#

Select 'Internals' (Number 4)
It will ask for a master key it is: *#9072641*#

Select 'Storage settings' (Number 7)
Update Java DB (Number 2)

Turn the phone off
Turn it back on

The games should now be installed with no problems, I know it's bit
repetitive but this has worked the best for me.

Jar files and few messages show 'unsupported file' while opening.

Jar file be easily open in a computer, but if you trying to open a .jar file in your Samsung phone, then you cannot open it directly. A jad creator is needed which you can download in the internet. It also required tk file explorer. You have to download this two from internet. After downloading you'll require a pc suite software of your mobile phone. Install a pc suite software of your mobile in your computer. after installation you have to connect your mobile phone to pc via data cable wire which came with your mobile phone. After connecting it open the TK file explorer which you have downloaded from the internet and follow the instruction for installation.

WHEN I INSTALL JAVA SOFTWARE IN MY SAMSUNG S5603(STAR 3G) HANDSET , THEN MY HANDSET SHOW ME ERROR IS UNSUPPORTED FILE, BUT I WANT TO INSTALL SOFTWARE IN THAT, SO WHAT CAN I DO.

The only way to install java software on this phone is to use it's own browser to locate and download the java file and it will install it by itself.

Unsupport file opening

Hi,

You normally get this message when unsupported files are installed on your phone or your phone memory.

I'll put it this way you'll get this message prompt if the application/update that you are downloading is not supported by your mobile phone's model. One of the reason why this is happening could be due to the fact that you might be downloading a wrong update for your phone. Note that some of the updates available to Nokia United States for a particular model might be different from the update made available on nokia Asia for download. Hence living in Asia, if you pick up the updates from Nokia United States for use, this could conflict and result to an unsupported file not opening.

All you'll need to do is to undo the download via the right nokia homepage and get the right download.

Hope this helped.

Kind Regards
