The keyboard and mouse both must be configured in order to work. Check on the top or bottom of the IR transmitter for a button that must be pushed. on the keyboard there are corrisponding buttons, these must also be pushed. do either keyboard or mouse first by pressing the controller button first and then the keyboard button, controller LED should blink to verify linkup. Repeat for mouse

Non responding wireless mouse and keyboard

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like the mouse itself is faulty, if the right button when depressed returns to position and you hear the familiar click, and you don"t hear that from the left button, then the mouse itself is faulty, ask Dell to send another mouse, it should be on warranttee with your new computer.

I changed the batteries in my Dell cordless mouse and it still doesn't work. Do I need to change the batteries in my cordless keyboard also?

I checked with someone from the Tech Support Department in my company and suggested I press the connect buttons. I also changed the batteries in my wireless keyboard. I pressed the connect buttons on the receiver, mouse and keyboard. After all this the mouse started working again.
