SOURCE: my 9053 lifts off fine

I own this heli also. The problem is that the tail rotor does not apply enough push to tilt the heli forward. It is this forward pitch that moves the heli forward. Aside form buying a stronger tail motor, upgrading your battery etc, the only thing you can do id this:

Get a credit card, a pair of scissors and some tape. Cut a couple of strips from the credit card about 2 1/2 - 3 times wider thhan the tail rotor blades and the same length. Now tape the strips to the top of the tail rotor blades. Make sure you don't increase the length.

This will help a little by providing more air push when the tail rotor in engaged. Without some serious modding, this heli will never be great.

I have more fun flying my micro size syma helicopter in the garage then I have flying my volitation. If there is even the slightest breeze, the volitation will float in the direction of the breeze and will not fly against it.

You only need one frequency to be able to fly it. So it's working fine.

SOURCE: havoc heli flight problems

Make sure the blades and rotors are free of debris. I had the same problem then noticed hair had gotten wrapped around the blades. Once you remove the hair or thread or string or whatever it should fly fine

SOURCE: heli max hicro helicopter just keeps spinning in circles

Make sure you used the right blades, the top and bottom blades are different parts and if you try to replace an upper blade with a lower blade it will mess up the flight. The two sets of blades are reversed, the leading edge is on the opposite side because they spin in opposite directions.

If you are sure you have the correct blades, try to eliminate vibrations, especially in the upper rotor. Vibrations can throw off the gyro sensor and cause the helicopter to spin. If it isn't vibrating then you need to adjust the trim. If it is just a slight spin, you can try using the horizontal trim adjustment on the left stick. If this is not able to correct the spin, set the horizontal trim on the left stick to center and then remove the plastic canopy. On the circuit board you will see two screw adjustments labeled "SENS" and "SCALE". First, draw a mark on both of them with a marker making sure to touch both the screw and the plastic or board. This mark will be used to reset the knobs to their original positions if you mess up. The "SENS" (sensitivity) knob adjusts how hard the helicopter responds to the gyro. The "SCALE" (rotor scale) adjusts the balance between the two rotors. If it is a smooth rotation (as opposed to a skittish, jumpy, or erratic rotation), you need to adjust the SCALE knob as one rotor is consistently faster than the other. On the other hand, if it is erratic and jumpy, randomly spinning in quick bursts, you should adjust the SENS knob. Erratic spinning is a result of the gyro detecting vibrations and overcompensating, throwing the helicopter in a circle. Play with these knobs, try just slight adjustments and keep going until it flies right. Have common sense, don't turn the knobs too far at once, just small adjustments will make it easier. Also if turning the knob one direction makes it worse, go the other direction. If you turn the SCALE knob too much you may lose lifting power because it will reduce the maximum power of one of the motors.

We have lost our instruction manuals for our rc heicopters. is the small tail propellar supposed to spin? we can't get them to liftoff the main propellars seem to be working fine.

Sadly, Bob is incorrect here. In a coaxial helicopter, the main rotors spin in opposite directions, equalizing the centrifugal force and allowing the craft to hover without spinning, fine-tuned by the adjustment of the trim control. The counter-rotating main blades and internal gyroscopes provide a stable hover, while the tail rotor serves only to push the rear of the chopper up or down, providing the forward/backward thrust. If you are not moving the right joystick, you tail rotor should be stationary, or perhaps moving lazily from the wash of the main rotors. Sounds like a charging issue. What type of charger are you using? Also, Li/Po batteries are not meant to be fully discharged. Fully draining a Li/Po too many times, ESPECIALLY when they are new, will ruin them. Luckily the batteries on an 032 are easily replaceable. Available on Amazon and many other online retailers, and replaced in about 1 minute with only a small screwdriver. With a new Li/Po, charge them FULLY with the correct charger, and always stop the flight as soon as you are having to give it full power to maintain altitude. Also CRUCIAL is you MUST MUST MUST let the battery rest and cool for after a flight, wait a good 10 minutes BEFORE you connect the heli to the charger, and another 10 minute cool down after charging before you fly.
Hope this helps

My heli always rotated at the left side.....although i push the right button it still rotated at the left side.....and it becomes hardly rotated when it start to fly.....hope u have the solution for this...

check that the fan on its tail is working fine ???
either it is rotating slow or very fast and is not being controlled by commands sent by your remote control.....
or may be the blades, either of them may be, got damaged some how and are not providing enough force to push the air and keep heli stable...
kindly check these few thing and InshaAllah your problem will be solved.. :)
best of luck...

I have a s 107 and it will not go forward or backwards. everything else seems to work fine.

This has happened to two of mine, fairly common problem if you keep hitting things with your back rotor.
Solution 1: Replace the tail assembly
Solution 2: Remove the canopy and put a small weight in the nose which will serve to drag your heli forward. No backward flight but it works better than a heli that just hovers.

vlad that is tail wag. he is not talking about that. To fix: Look at the flybar and check for even flybar paddles (if looking down the flybar make sure one is not angled differently than the other) you can twist them a little to manipulate them. #2 the small extensions connecting the flybar to the links may be bent up or down. Again, looking down the flybar make sure they are pretty level with one another (you can slightly bend them back but be gentle. #3 There is a pin connecting the flybar to the head that goes through. What happens is, after a few bang into things this can start to move out just a fraction of a mm. You will notice that the flybar can move back and forth like it should very easily but there is also a little play rocking it the other way that it is not supposed to go. this amount will be very small but plenty to adversely affect the heli. take a pair of needle nose pliers and carefulle push that pin in just a touch until the flybar tightens enough to stop the movement. Be sure its not too tight so it takes away from the easy movement the flybar is supposed to have. I 100% promise its not the tail motor.

Brand new unit forward and reverse seems very slow moves a little then just hovers.

Make sure you're charging fully, until the light on the charger doesn't get ANY brighter when you unplug the helicopter. Also, battery must be allowed to cool 10 minutes after flying AND another 10 minutes after charging.
Most crucial is that you must never fully discharge battery. Fully draining a Li/Po even once (especially when it's new) can cripple or ruin your battery. As soon as you are unable to maintain altitude, land copter and power it off. Also, there is a button on the remote, labelled "tail motor speed switch" located near the trim control. With it in the "off" or up position the tail motor is much slower allowing for more precise control. When button is pushed to the down or "on" position, tail motor moves faster giving more tilt, and thereby much more forward/reverse 'thrust'. Verify that tail rotor is moving when right joystick is actuated (and that it reverses when right stick is pulled in opposite direction) and that it isn't loose on it's shaft... this can be tested by verifying tail rotor spin in one direction then reversing joystick... tail rotor should instantly start spinning in the other direction with NO hesitation, if it slows and then starts spinning in other direction or anything like that then it's loose. Turn helicopter upside down then VERY CAREFULLY apply a small drop of super glue where the shaft meets the tail rotor, be very cautious to not get any glue near where the shaft comes out of the motor, and do not turn right side up until glue is fully dry.

Hope this helps,

My halo helo will not fly forward.

it is only a 2 channel control, allowing you to fly left, right, up and down so you would have to add some weight to the nose so get it moving forward try to tape different things to the nose so get the right speed let me know what happens

Apparently someone doesn't know what pitch is. Try some aluminum tape, use small pieces, just one at a time until you get it right. Eventually it will fly forward
