Install window 7 but sound is not coming in it

Hi you could get some sound drivers from here

www.realtek.com

go up to downloads then choose either the AC.97 audio or the HD audio driver either should work

download it
install it
then restart the laptop

if you need to use your onboard mic if you have one then you may need to get a conexant modem driver

for that you may get it from

www.conexant.com

or better still

go to the manufacturer of your laptop's official website to find the modem driver

or repost back to us below where it says add a comment telling us the make and model of your laptop and someone may be able to find the driver for you

many thanks

Dell Dimension 4550, OS = WINXPPRO. Just reformatted and reload OS. Got and installed drivers from Dell.com. System sees onboard ehternet but says no driver for a PCI communications device. Cannot...

Dell Dimension 4550 Drivers
From the above link you can download the required drivers. There are two drivers available for Broadcom and Intel. I suggested try the Intel Drivers (as your system may be having the Intel based Ethernet)
To PCI communication Controller (Modem) you have to install the Modem Drivers
Trt Eicon (recommended) Or broadcom conaxant etc

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

Regarding Sm bus Controller

You need to download & install some motherboard-specific device-drivers, probably for USB ports, or an onboard modem.

Find the web-site for the manufacturer of the motherboard.
Search, using the model-number of the motherboard,
to find downloadable device-drivers.

Speedstream 6520 driver

Windows doesn't detect Ethernet connected devices. You could hook up a dozen Ethernet Modems and Windows would not see any of them, but they all would work fine using TCP/IP. It is not like you installed the DSL Modem/Router inside the case of the PC. You do know how Ethernet works, right? The only driver needed is the correct one for your Ethernet card, but that comes the Ethernet Card or the Motherboard Drivers CD for onboard Ethernet.

Found a few things, here are some websites to try:

Most likely in these situations it is a driver problem.  First things first, make sure your BIOS is up to date.  If not, follow this link to update your BIOS:
http://www.opendrivers.com/searchopendrivers/M963GV.html

After the update, enter your bios and make sure your onboard modem is enabled.  This could be another problem - the modem MUST be enabled in BIOS in order to work.
Additionally, there are drivers available for your specific motherboard model - go to the following site:
http://www.xpvistasite.com/m963gv_v5.0_19473.htm

These are windows drivers for your motherboard - they work across nearly all windows platforms.
If you do all of those steps, and it still doesn't work, let me know!
Good luck!

if you placed any other modem in the system, then tell the modem name. or else it is an onboard ethernet. you can driver from the above location

My computer dont act right, something is wrong with it but i dont know what

is your videocard onboard?? if its is, well theres something wrong with your motherboard especially on the video side, but if its not onboard, well try to check your videocard (its driver).

a general cleaning of your pc will do, and try to use an eraser to clean the pins of the videocard.

also check your monitor, if you have a spare pc, try to use that monitor and check if its ok.

as for your ethernet cable modem, try to check if your modem works properly (like power). and install the proper drivers for the modem.
