Flickering screen/ Look for bad caps just like the rest of failed monitors, please read on if you are going to DIY repair.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Graphics dnt work tried everthing in compatibility doesnt work pls help

The problem is usually that the monitor has the wrong input selected.
If you are using VGA (The 15 pin connector, maker sure VGA or AUTO is selected in the monitor setup.
IF you are using a DVI cable, (18 pins also called a single link cable ) make sure DVI or AUTO is selected.
Many monitors will not work with a 24 pin DVI cable. (Also called a double link cable.)
The main reason is because they are not able to reach the resolutions of double link, or the graphics card is using the center 6 pins of the double link DVI cable for some other usage, which is a bad idea.

First thing I would try this monitor with another PC first since the problem can be in some where else in the PC also. Do you get video if you boot up in safe mode? Did you load any new sofetware, drivers?
If it is monitor problem, then you should read below so you will know what to look inside.

After 15 -20 min my monitor goes blank

This could indicate a problem with the graphics card. Take the card out and clean it, then clean the slot that it fits into. (I normally use a small dry paintbrush).

Replace the card, making sure that you push it down gently but firmly and ensure that the plastic clip has gone back correctly that hold the card in place. Rescrew the card back to the casing correctly and reboot.

Hopefully this will resolve your problem. If it does not, to determine whether or not your graphics card is faulty. Change the monitor lead over to the onboard graphics port instead of the agp/pci port and reboot. If the monitor works properly with no problems, then you have a bad graphics card.

I hope this helps.

New monitor but unable to use its maximum resolution settings

no, there's nothing wrong with either your graphics card & monitor.. it just that your graphics card does not support a 1680x1050 resolution. if you want to fully enjoy the resolution of your monitor, you should upgrade your graphics card. purchase at least 256mb graphics card and you will see the difference..
