Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

You have to try format the memory card in your camera ? You write, that "setup" is working Might be the need of memory updating - computer does mainly harms to the camera if used to operate inside of camera ;-(
Own experience and twice - is, that the camera had lost all pictures from memorycard. Happily enough a program downloaded from the net was helping.
Hi cazzaminx. This is a easy one. I'll show you how to un-install ANY program and then clean up all the trash left in the registry. Go to .... revouninstaller.com Download and simply follow instructions. try to run the last clean up portion of the prog twice.
Than go to wiseregistrycleaner.com Download, run scan and fix twice. DO NOT remove the unsafe to fix notations. The site may prompt you to download wisediskcleaner Do it run twice. If not prompted go to wisediskcleaner.com and download it.
I am assuming you are running Windows, Run the windows disk cleaner twice, you will find it under start/all programs/accessories/system tools/disk cleanup. than for good housekeeping Download Auslogics Defragmenter program and run once. It's much better than the windows version.
Don't worry about messing anything up. Each program creates it's own restore point, so you can always go to, system restore and back up to a earlier time. You can use Revo to delete any unwanted program and don't be afraid to click next on every step.
