This may depend upon many factors as to what may be the cause of the problem and the solution many scooters have a small box linked into the wireing somewhere some have only one others have more but upon opening the box you will find inside it a blade fuse the same type as is used in cars and you can obtain replaements at many garages or halfords stores or most any where else that cars are repaired at or that sell car parts or spares firstly check the fuse as you have suggested also strip the scooters body work off of the scooter and check all of your wiring looms and connections for any loose or broken wires or connections that have been overlooked when re-assembeling the scooter failing all of thee possible soloutions I would try find a local mobility scooter repair shop however if your mechanically minded and understand things like wireing and mechanics you may want to obtain a circuit tester and check each and every single wire at both ends to make sure that there is no break any where within the wire and if there is then replace that specific wire or wires but opefully it will be simply a blown fuse but also heck your controls and make sure that there is no moisture or any other kind of liquid getting into the controls as liquids of any type can get into the electrics causing it to short circuit and stop it from working as such I would also suggest that you obtain a small cartridge of waterproof sealant and once everything is assembled and working you coat the connections and wires at all the joints with the sealant to stop and prevent any liquids getting into the connections and as such prevent any problems from occuring that can be caused by rain or moisture or similar liquids getting into the connections and wireing also though take care that you do not coat any connections before they are coupled together as if this is the case the sealent will also prevent electric from passing through the connections if you are silly enough to coat them before assembely

Why does the Victory 4 scooter not move. It worked fine for 20 minutes. I shut it off, then when I tried to ride again it would not go. No sounds. Battery is charged and light and horn works.

hi, there can be a number of reasons for this, from a controller fault to a weak pair of batteries to a brake that is breaking down..

My victory 4 mobilty wont charge the green light is very faint/the charger was tested working.so why wont my scooter charge

make sure battery cables are secure at battery terminals and clean.how old are the batteries. If the batteries run down fast they are no good.a good way to test them is put scooter against some thing solid and go forward. If the battery indicator drops to o the batteries are no good.It takes about 10 hours to charge the batteries

I installed new batteries and scooter still doesn't run, why?

Check the wiring from the controller to the motor, disconnect the wire ad clean the connections with a contact cleaner or WD40 , and make sure the scooter not in freewheel mode.

This scooter has not been used for 18 months,it has 2 gel batteries and showed a full charge after o'night charge(greeen light) showing. How many kilometres should i get from it ?.it is a victory...

hi.

with good batteries, and under ideal conditions (flat smooth surface) this scooter should be good for up to 30 km.
this is highly dependant on the surface, slopes, rider weight, and battery condition, but with good batteries you should easily be able to do a round of golf.

the biggest problem you may have will be the batteries themselves.
after 18 months without use, the batteries may have suffered from a sulphur build up on the lead plates in the battery. this can mean that the batteries will show fully charged, but will not put out the full power. the best way to test this is to take the batteries down to your local car garage and ask them to do a "load test" sometimes called a "drop test" on the batteries. they will usually do this free of charge and it only takes a few minutes. a 100amp load test for 8 seconds should tell you the condition of the batteries.
if the batteries test ok, then you should not have any problems using the scooter for a round of golf.

hope this helps

Battery charger indicating that batteries are fully charged, but battery meter on the scooter shows no power at all. also the lights, indicaters etc arent working, im presuming that is resulting from the...

With a Pride Scooter the charger will turn green if its fully charged and if there is a bad connection in the wiring with the batteries. If you plug in the charger and the light comes on green right away then there is a problem with the wiring or connections. Take a voltmeter and read the voltage at each battery. Fully charged they should be 13-15 volts each. If they are less than 12 volts then they are not charged and the charger is not working correctly. If the batteries are really low like less than 8 volts each then the scooter might not come on at all. If you find that the batteries have at least 12 volts or more then there is a wiring problem from the rear of the scooter to the front tiller. Pride has a habit of developing problems in the harness running from the rear to the tiller. My suggestion is to contact your provider (where you got the scooter) and have them troubleshoot the scooter. If the scooter is less than a year old then it should be under warranty and your provider will have to fix it under warranty. Sorry I don't have a quick fix for you but scooters are notoriously bad to troubleshoot and repair, especially long distance. Hope this helps you

Scooter's horn works but the battery is not charging when plugged in.

hi, right first of all, check the charger, check the fuse located in the charger if fitted, best way to test it is to try it on another scooter.

Now if youre sure the charger is working ok look at the charger socket is it a loose fitting if so wiggle it about gently, does the charger accept it charging ? is there a charging light on the scooter ? if so does it change colour when inserted , if not bad charger or charger fitting ? now if you have a multimeter , remove the seat and the cover under that , mind how you do this as it easily to hurt your back, show now you can see the batteries , check the leads to the batteries, have they come loose, now using the meter put a prode on a red terminal and the other lead on the other battery black terminal, now change terminal if no reading until you get about 20 to 25 volts , now inserted the battery charger , has the voltage changed or watch as it will start to rise , give it 20 minutes or so and if nothing changed , it pointing at your charger as having a fault ,even if the batteries are no good it will see show some output, now if the voltage measured on the batteries is lower than 18 Volts depending on scooter it will never move but the horn will still work as that requires only 12V.

Please leave feedback if this helps

Hi. Have you checked the free-wheel lever is in the correct position?
Is one of the battery lights or any LED flashing? If so, count the flashes between the pauses, and let us know.

Good luck. Neil.
