How get sound on viewsonic VA2446m?

Plug the audio cable from the PC to the audio input jack on the back of the unit. Then make sure audio volume is turned up on the PC side. The monitor also has a volume control setting. Make sure to have a value greater than 1 to hear anything.

How can I download free audio driver for microtek c593? Please help me, thanks.

Monitor does not need sound driver, just think of it as nothing more than powered PC speakers mounted inside monitor case. You need correct sound card driver in the PC to get sound.
Testing monitor speakers: use an MP3 player to feed to monitor audio line input (Green jack) using audio cable with mini stereo male phone jack at both ends (try Radio Shack) , set the volume on the monitor half way. If you get the sound OK, then the problem is in the PC setup.

Sound does not work. I have not been able to get the speakers to work, nor headphones when they are plugged into the monitor

We need to find first if the problem is in the monitor or in the sound card in the PC (hopefully you have the audio cable hooked up correctly, Green audio line out of PC goes to green audio line in of the monitor). Try feeding it with MP3 player or sound source to see if you get the sound or not and go from there, please post back. If it is bad amplifier in the monitor, you will be better off putting money toward Good powered speakers that will have 100% better sound than the tiny speakers inside the monitor that sound like tinned can.

Can't hear volume from my monitor

We need to find out if the problem is in the monitor or at the PC sound card. Try feeding the monitor with sound sound source such as MP3 player to the audio line in of the monitor to see if you get the sound or not. If you do not, then you will need to open up the monitor and inspect the audio power amplifier circuits. If you get the sound OK, then verify that the cable between the PC audio line out (green jack) and the monitor audio input (green jack), next verify that the audio level controls (on screen volume control panel) are set up OK, not at minimum setting. Verify that correct driver for the sound card is installed.

Need set up disk for monitor as computer person deleted all drivers and now i cannot get any sound

You do not load sound driver for the monitors, you do need sound driver for your audio card in your PC, and all other drivers for your PC hardware. Make and model of the PC?

Cant get sound out of speakers in monitor

How is it hooked up to the PC? You need to use mini stereo phone jack connect one end to the Green Audio input of the monitor and the other end is connected to the Green audio line out of the PC. Then you need to set the volume controls at the PC and at the monitor. You can also try using MP3 player as an aduio source to see if you get the sound OK, If you don't then the problem is in the amplifier inside the monitor, if you do, then the problem is in the PC sound card.

I recently bought a Windows 7 64 bit PC. I have Optiquest monitor with built-in speakers. The sound was working fine and then it stoppped. I tried stand-alone speakers, then anoither monitor with speakers-...

Go into control panel / sounds / sounds and audio / select audio blind / should see a driver listed in each device. Back to sounds blind /test sound, if you can see the black arrow but its greyed out then driver is faulty. If you can click on it and it changes baxk to th esquare all is OK, ensure the sound jack is plugged into the GREEN ones at rear PC. Also check in volume blind that speakers are selected.

I have acer al1917w A monitor but no sound

There is no sound driver, they are speakers, they work off of the audio output jack on the back of your PC, on the motherboard. If you have the sound drivers installed for the motherboard, and no sound, then you have plugged the monitor audio cable into the wrong jack on the PC, or you have the settings wrong just as MIKE said above.

CJ,
1. Check make sure the audio cable are plugged in from the monitor to the PC output audio jack (light green).
2. Open your on screen display and go to Volume settings. See if it set on mute or set to 0.
3. Turn of your monitor & PC and unplugged all the cables from your monitor and PC wait for 10 seconds and then replugged it all the cables and audio cable back. Then turned on you PC...
4. If it still doesn't work.. open the back cover see if the speaker cable are plugged in.
5. If that doesn't work...then your monitor AD board built-in speakers are defective.
6. Why not just used a external speakers, it give better sound quality.
Have a nice weekend!

No sound when on pc mode

Check if your PC can play audio on some other speakers or headphone. If yes, check your monitor audio cable connections. If no something's wrong with your PC audio drivers. Try re-installing them or could be a hardware issue with your PC. Get it checked.
