Question about Olevia 227-S11 27 in. LCD TV
It could be the humidity contributing, but I don't think it would cause a problem like this out of the blue... It turns itself ON and OFF by itself? Hmm, if it was just turning off I would have a better understanding of what's going on, but the turning on by itself part indicates some type of hardware fault in the main board of the TV. I suppose it could be humidity that caused the board to start having issues. How old is this TV? If you happened to purchase the TV with a major credit card (not a debit card) there is a good chance it may still be under the free extended warranty most credit cards place on electronics. Please contact your credit card company to inquire if they do this, and they will be able to file the claim and get you a refund for the TV.
Otherwise I would wait it out another day or so, see if it happens to correct itself, possibly leave it unplugged overnight, it couldn't hurt that's for sure, and you wouldn't want it turning itself on - possibly exacerbating the issue.
Do you think it will be less humid in the near future where you are? I hate to say wait it out, but unless you can get it fixed for free, or replaced as suggested (refunded) I would wait a bit and see what happens with it.
