Frigidaire microwave

Check fuse inside microwave oven (usually 8-10-12 A) on power supply board or main board, depending on model.

I have a built-in AEG Microwave code MC166(0E?) My son unfortunately used the microwave as a timer so it was on for 30mins without anything in it. It now won't turn "on"; no light/clock...

What fuse did you change? The fuse on the wiring that leads to the microwave needs to be intact, then the fuse in the Microwave itself needs to be checked. Usually there is a plug where the microwave is plugged in, in the cabinet above the microwave, you can take another small appliance or a power tester to make sure power is available in the outlet where the microwave is plugged in. If the power is on at the outlet then you'll know that it is the microwave itself that has turned itself off for some reason. You can get manuals for these ovens at this website

Kenmore over the range microwave oven model 721.80413500 keypad just stopped working. No response when pressing any button, even the light and fan button. Microwave was working fine minutes before.

80% of power problems are caused by ceramic fuse locted under microwave cabnet.Use a tester to see if you have continuity. You may just need a fuse.

665.68601890 Acts as though it is not receiving power but breaker is not thrown. Is there an internal reset. Nothing responds - no lights, fan or microwave. Panel is black and non responsive

ther is on most microwaves a fuse inside usually located behind display panel located in a fuse block or will be on the control board itself.. normally a 20 amp fuse...try that first if not then make sure you have power to control and if so and no display most likely the display control board...
may luck out and be just the fuse though....good luck

There is a glass fuse on a small board inside the case, unscrew the case and find it, get a direct replacement (same rating)

Dead microwave, after power surge

look for a ceramic fuse in a fuse holder. probably 15 amp or 20 amp. if this is blown (and likely is) the micro won't work at all.

Microwave dead after power surge.

A) The fuse you change was the one on top just behind the control board? correct? Not the one on the door hinge side of the microwave. (as is is the Thermal cutout ) Then most likely took out the control board... i would also check the Capacitor and recifier let me know it this helped?
