Question about Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

A Maytag washer--model#LAT9206AAE worked perfect--then all at once started walking & vibrating on spin.Theres nothing broke--loose or worn.Washer looks like brand new inside. Damper pads are in place(used to see some half way out or one completely out)Washer is about 13 yrs. old.I,m not sure what could cause the problem--that style Maytag was an excellent machine. Rene

The age always have a word to say in this maters..and the problem is obvious caused by it ...but I was pointing the only issues that may be on ...only the vibrations in excess can cause it to dance around the floor ..and these are cause by unbalance of the feet or ..or the counterweight being loose..and causing the vibrations..

Have a Roper (Whirlpool) top load washer Model RAL 5144BWO, that vibrates excessively. I ran it without any clothes, and still vibrated excessively. I watched it go through the spin cycle with the lid...

Hi, Well it sounds like either one of the tension springs that hold the outer clear tub to the frame down below came off or broke, or that the basket or gearbox shaft is warped. One other thing to try is the back feet on those washers are spring loaded to take out some of the vibration, if those feet arent level it will make the washer shake. it is easy to reset those so they are level. Stand infront of the washer and grab the back of the unit and pull it towards you so that you raise the rear legs, then simply set it back down. To check the spring you will have to take the outer shell off and look at the springs that are at the bottom of the tub assembly holding the tub down on the frame. Good luck and I hope I was some help.

Maytag hav2557 vibrates excessively

sounds like the drum is loose. remove softener dispenser, usually a plastic hand nut, then you should see the drum nut, may be under softener goop though. check if tight. other thing could be one of the drum stabilizers broke, usually drum has 4 of them attaching drum to dryer frame. place unit on side and check

Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

I had this problem as well. I called dealer and Maytag. They made an appointment and stood me up several times.
I finally went to place that sells refrigeration equipment and bought an anti-vibration pad. It's a 12" square waffle pad used under large equipment to prevent them from vibrating loose on connected piping. I cut it into 4 pieces and put one under each corner of the dryer. Problem solved, in fact it worked so well that I stacked dryer over washer, placed pads between units and have not had a problem since. I also gained a lot of space in my laundry room as well.

The sensor would help it detect vibration and go back to settle mode and restart the spin.
If you have abnormal vibration all the time be certain
1st that machine is really level. can you push or pull the machine when it vibrating and does that stop most of the noise. if so it is not really level.

then open the top (3 screws in top rear)

remove power to unit as you want to live.
Check the suspension and springs they should act like your car.
look, feel, nothing should be loose or disconnected.
the concrete balances should not be loose or cracked.
push on the basket it should resist in all directions.
