Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Sounds like it has a broken belt based on your description of your Asko dryer "The drying turns on, but does not spin".

You can visually inspect it be either removing the lower access panel or the dryer top panel, the choice is yours and either way will let you check the belt.

To go infrom the top remove the screws at the back of the top, they will be three #25 torx head screws.
Once the screws are out, slide the top towards the back slightly and lift up. You should then see something like this...

Sorry about that, I wasn't done but accidentally clicked the submit icon.

The next thing I'd suggest is to grab the belt, if visible and give it a pull. If it's too snug to the drum to pull then obviously it isn't broke and time to move forward, let me know...

If it is not visible then it is obviously broke and it's gonna need to be replaced, let me know.

As I alluded to you can also inspect the belt by way of removing the front access panel. That will be a matter of taking out the two screws on either side of the lower panel, usually a philips head ( aka star head ) and the panel will pull away at which point you should have this...

You can now easily see if the belt is broke and access the broken belt to remove it if necessary.

If it is broke you'll require Asko original part # 8061961. It should be available at most brick & mortar parts stores, or online at locations such as "repairclinic.com" for sure...I checked. It retails for $45USD.

**Please disconnect the power or turn of the breaker to the dryer before performing any service...safety first**

To route the new belt you may require assistance, but it should loop around like this image below...

if you get this far, let me know how it goes or what you find.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and good luck.

    Regards,

    Macmarkus :)

How do i turn the volume down

There is no way to "turn down" the noise on any washer other than to balance the load of the washing machine tub as it spins. Typically the washer increases noise due to spinning during the rince and dry cycle. This noise is a consequence of the rapid spin rate needed to dry the clothes using centripetal acceleration and removing the water.

Tumble dry wont turn and dry

check that your motor spins and your belt is on the drum. you say its heating so your door switch isn't the problem.

Doesn't dry clothes in spin cycle- spins but not enough

so it is the spin cycle that does not work that is the drum does not turn. Have you tried other levels such as delicate wash and see if spin works. LASTLY, disconnect power and reconnect.

Sander doesn't spin

YOUR BALLBEARING where the disk is on mounted is the right bearing that have the problem for shure it is full of dust or completely dry it will not turn anymore SIMPLY TO CONTROL IF YOU MOVE YOUR DISK NOW ON YOUR MACHINE YOUR ARMATURE TURNS DIRECTLY WITH THE DISK thats not good the armature must stand still , replace the ballbearing or remove it and open it with a very little sharp screwdriver on the both sides solvent it out try to turn the bearing carefully until its turns without problems dry it or blow it out with a compressor and if its dry lubricate with ballbearing grease close it again and mount it again

Try this... while in in spin turn your spin selector switch and listen if motor spins slower or faster.. at fast spin open your lid quick to see how fast its spinning.. check and make sure your drain line is cleared and the water flow out fast...and if its spinning too slow problem is in the gearbox area..
