WHARFEDALE PRO SVP-12PM defective switching power supply. I found one defective silicone transistor or could be a mosfet because the part number starts with a letter or K1402 (packageTO92), i checked the PDF file for K1402, the packaging doesn't match with the package of the part to be replaced TO92. K1402 package from PDF file was TO220AB. This is a church stage monitor, i am praying for someone out there might have idea or have the heart to share schematic diagram will be much appreciated thanks. May God bless all technical experts here with good health and wisdom.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

If you have manual, schematic is in the back pages. If not go to Behringers' site and download PDF (I believe it's under support)

a fuse gone to the speaker terminal of the end amplifier.
There are four lots steering and power transistors or only an integrated powerpack ic to find possible IC in one or in 2 pieces .... can be defective. final stage amplifier is almost always to find on a large heatsink or the cabinet with transistors, or MOSFETs or a one large STK ic they are almost always short-circuited if defect and it is easy to find if defective with a multimeter as it are conventional vintage simple NPN and PNP transistors, it may be that if you have a multimeter ohm sets and measurement performed no resistance is given on the three legs ie the shorted than you the transistors mosfets or sometimes replace an IC output stage 1 or 2 pieces, but do not forget or bad bulging capacitors are responsible or that there was an overload or shorting a speaker cable that has become trapped in the door or a cabinet.
Much options to suggest in case of no sound or only loose connection by shifting a carpet

I'm Ziro. I need a part list for the main power supply board for behringer pmp4000 mixer, two transistors were removed from it and I need to know the part numbers of each in order to install them.

In my opinion, due to the physical appearance of pmp4000 and pmp3000 look the same, it will most likely also have a common circuit and parts list (at least, most).
Usually Behringer (and all the manufacturers), with the same series / sequence, using the same circuit, the difference is the number of channels only. You can compare the parts list on PMP3000 schematic, with your PMP4000.

Hope this helps.

Peavey XR8600 can't get it to come apart

And why would equipment blow a fuse the minute you turn it on? Well, I would say because it's defective. Bad power supplies, burnt components, shorted diodes and/or transistors or dead IC's. It's repair shop time bud and make sure that shorted speaker wires or defective speakers didn't damage it, as reconnecting a freshly repaired unit to the same wires/speakers could damage the unit twice.

Powersupply won't run on Orange terror Bass 500

I found both FDA2828N50F MOSFET transistors in the power supply were shorted. I replaced them and the amp worked fine. I couldn't find a reason for them to fail.

Need a power supply for a pmh5000 and install directions

These are delivered with a power supply. If yours has failed, LIKELY there are other problems. I have repaired several supplies and can coach you through which parts to replace. Often the failure originates with a shorted MOSFET in one of the amplifier channels, usually the rearmost one. Getting parts for these is really hard as FullCompass is the Behringer parts distributor. The SPS1000 supply takes out about $25 of parts when they go. The hardest parts to replace are the IGBT transistors as the heat sinks are hard to remove to get the screws out of the transistors. All the repair parts are available using five different online sources.

Hi, I need the pmp5000 schematic or service manual. Because my mixer smps is faulty.. (On the smps pcb following parts are problem : T12 - D24 and 25? R11 open - D6 and D9 are short - TOP221 ? ) Best...

Oh yeah... know them well The IGBT transistors fail, the sand coated resistors blow open... replace as a pair. The driver transistors get blown... 2SA1020's and 2SC2655-Y's. One or more of the gate speedup diodes for the IGBT's get blown. The switching reg chips, IR2153 is usually gone. and more...

Here is your service manual: http://elektrotanya.com/behringer_europower-p0569_hca2400_sps1000_dpx_pmp-1280s_5000_sch.pdf/download.html

Scroll down to "get manual" and click to download. Ignore other "download links".

You will likely find that one of the power amps has shorted... been there, done that several times. Usually the channel A (rearmost) power amp shorts takeing out the 9140 Mosfets and other parts. Often an internal short between an interior and upper layer of the amp circuit board is the fault that causes all this. Use a light bulb (150 watt) in series with the power input when testing after repair. Use an isolation transformer when working on the supply for personal safety. When supply is running again, discharge the 70 volt source caps before plugging onto the amp to avoid welding arcs at the connectors. I have seen the supply hold charge for several days.

Hi; my friends blew the power supply board on this desk; will I be able to change individual components or have to fork out 160 euros for a new board? I think I could cope with changing components if...

It is likely one of the amps have blown as well as the power supply. The pwoer supply wipes out about $30 of components when it goes. If the fuse had been replaced after initial failure this results in more damage. For the power supply, typically the two IGBT's are wiped out and the four transistors driving them as well as the regulator chip and one or more of the gate speedup diodes which are surface mounted. Sometimes the surge limit resistors which are ceramic pacakged are blown. The hardest part is removing the heatsinks with the IGBT's on them. You DO need a desoldering station to work on this.
Usually you will find damage to the rearmost amp in the amplifier module. An arc beween layers of the multilayer circuit board causes inital failure. Three MOSFET transistors are blown and a Zener plus the board is charred and this cancer has to be ground away and re-insulated and circuit traces replaced by jumpers. Sometime the .03 ohm metering resistor on the bottom is fried... when that happens, two small surface mounted transistors are blown as well. All in all $50 of components are damaged typically.

I have a beringer 5000 mixer and can not get no sound from it. it's like the speakers are not getting power

Oh, oh... got one on the bench now... There is a design defect that causes a short and destruction in the power amp portion.

Do a test: Plug headphones into the main 1/4 inch jacks. The sound won;t be very loud since these are line outputs, not for headphones.

IF you get sound out those, then one or both power amps are dead.

Worst case: if one amp is dead, several parts including three power MOSFET transistors are fried for any of the dead channels.
The failure of the amp can wipe out the main power supply. If you effect windows light up, then the small power supply is operating.
If the big supply is fried, there are two large MOSFET switching transistors that are gone. Often several smaller transistors and dides and resistors and one switching IC goes. MOST of these are surface mounted parts and would be beyond the scope of what you can repair.

I am trying to contact Behringer about the flaw but haven't heard back yet.

The nature of the flaw is this: The is insufficient clearance on an internal circuit layer from the edge that fits into a slot in the power amp heatsink. Any humidity that enters can cause the insulation to breakdown and arc to the heatsink causing a chain reaction.
I repaired one of these already before finding the cause, but this one had a smoking gun! I just yesterday milled out the slot deeper and wider and will put insulating tape to prevent further arcing. The arcing that had occured burned away the internal layer and the connections. I will replace thoose with hardwire.

Repair of this problem is time consuming to weed out all the blown parts and to safely bring the unit back to life.

The current unit I am working on took out ONLY the power amp. A 30 milliohm resistor went up in smoke making a real mess. All three power MOSFETS are gonzo and a zener as well... don't know what else I will find. The previous unit was worse as the power supply was wiped as well.
