GE refrigerator Leaks in back when trying to use water dispenser

Hello-

I have a GE side by side Model #GSH25SGPASS that is a few years old. After replacing the water filter inside the refrigerator I tried to dispense water from the outside of the freezer door. After depressing the dispense tab no water comes out to fill the glass. Then, a large pool of water did appeared on the floor. I checked the back and found the water to be coming out of one of the two short plastic tubes hanging down in the lower left back of the refrigerator. The water poors out of this tube everytime water is tried to be dispensed from the front of the refrigerator. Anybody have a clue?

Thanks, but not sure I understand what you're saying. Perhaps a little more detail? The tube approximately 6 inches long, looks to be a drain tube that hangs off a blue valve. The tube does not appear to be damaged, If I replace that tube it seems water will just keep pouring out of it?

That tube needs to be replaced or repaired. It connects to the electric valve with a compression type fitting.

Water line leaks where line enters refrigerator

My 5 year old GE GSL25 refrigerator is leaking as well when using the water dispenser in the door. Removed kick panel to see better. The plastic water line on the door side of the union was improperly installed in a metal clip such that it was being crimped. This unintended pressure caused the water line to eventually fatigue and split. The door side of the water line needs to be replaced.

GE Side By Side Ice Machine & Water dispenser not getting water

you may have a pin hole in your water line to your dispenser or you could be leaking at the water valve itself on the water dispenser side. you'll have to pull the refrigerator out from the wall and look where the main water line goes into the back of the refrigerator. you will probably have to take the back off to see. be sure you put the back of the refrigerator back when you are through.

I have a side by side GE refrigerator and the water dispenser is leaking quite a bit. It looks like is leaks where the water is dispensed.

Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

Ice maker bad or the ice maker water valve mounted on the same bracket as the dispenser is bad. These frigs are prone to bad ice makers after a few years.

Water is not dispensing. Can hear water flowing. Not coming out.

Watre control valves have 2 sides one side for the ice maker and the other for the water didpenser. It is possible that the side for your dispenser is defefective and the complete valve will need replaced. The part number for yours is WR57X10032 and can be found here

Water leak from under fridge when water dispenser is used

The water line is broken somewhere from the water dispencer all the way down to the water valve. I usually find that it is broken next to the water valve. Hint: Water valve is blue and located behind the fridge in the compressor department. Water line is 1/4inch clear tube that is probaly now a "yellowish" color. Easy to spot, easy to fix, especially if located next to water valve...
