Slow dryer

If your dryer IS still heating, but your clothes still won't dry, you may want to check the dryer interior cabinet and/or the entire exhaust ducting from where it exits your dryer to the point where it leaves your home to ensure you have no kinks or clogs. The following link explains many of the common problems that can cause poor drying efficiency and longer dry times:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3578821-dryer_takes_too_long_to_dry

Before assuming you have a problem with the appliance, check your installation to ensure you are providing the dryer with proper exhaust and air flow. A dryer in a clogged state or having improper air flow will not dry efficiently and will cause the heating circuits to overheat. Eventually, this can lead to component failures and is the source of many fire hazards. If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Dryer isn't drying as well as normal.Lint filter is clean.Doesn't seem to work any different on timed dry or auto dry.I have electrical exp. but no dryer exp. What should i check and how do I access it?

i belive you should check the vent hose from the dryer all the way to where it exits the house... that's usually the problem when dryers aren't drying as well as they shoud... lint wil start to cake on the walls of the vent and either create a complete block or slow the air down enough to keep it from circulating like it should

Slow drying times

Check these things:

* The length of the dryer pipe and especially the wall flapper to be sure it moves ok and that it is not blocked by something

* Check the dryer vent line to be sure it isn't kinked somehere

* Check the dryer vent fan itself to be sure it is clean and not clogged or obstructed (I'm assuming it works)

* If all ok, you may have a bad thermostat or sensor that is causing the unit to turn off the heat prematurely

* Make sure the dryer isn't overloaded

Dryer slow to dry

Take the vent off the back of the dryer and dry a load unvented too make sure you don't have an obstruction in the line too the outside. If still takes too long too dry you might have a bad operating thermostat located on the blower housing it is a 4 terminal thermostat.
