My Acer TCO03- power button is just blinking but no picture display

Blow hot air into the back with a hair dryer before trying to start it.

(not kidding)

if that works, one of the capacitors on the power board went bad.

even if that does NOT work, one of the capacitors on the power board went bad.

It is ALWAYS one of the capacitors on the power supply gone bad.

Being unplugged for a few weeks - as you stated - drained it of "juice", and it just cr*pped out. It was going to fail soon, in any event.

Fixing it can cost you less than a dollar, if you Google for information.

Best of luck!

Dryer heats but doesn't completely dry clothes.

See if you could turn the machine and remove the vent hose on the back.
Then, after you are sure it is clear, try a load of clothes with the vent hose blowing out into the air, not hooked to a vent hose pipe through the wall.
Very often, a plugged pipe will cause this behaviour. The pipe could be plugged in the wall or somewhere else.
Be blessed.

I just bought a ps3 and have never hooked up one before. I can't get it to hook up to the tv. I have hooked it up and it looks like it should be working but I don't get audio or video. I have tried it...

Step 1. Turn the PS3 off into standby (red light on)

Step 2. Press and hold the power button. It will beep as soon as you press it and then about 5 seconds later it will beep again. Let go of the power button when you hear this second beep.

Step 3. Wait for your PS3 to start.

This solution basically resets the video output back to standard definition. If this does not work then it is probably down to a faulty Graphics Processing Unit on the motherboard which is unfortunately terminal.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

I have C1110 Lifebook. It switch on only when it cold, usually morning, it work for 3-5 minutes and switch off. After that it couldn,t to switch on. (The green light "power" light for 2-3 sec, on each...

Take the battery out and only hook up the AC Adapter. Now turn it on at different times and see if the laptop turns on continuosly. If it does start turning on like normal then that means the battery is shorting out the motherboard.

Also try hooking your laptop straight to a regular wall outlet. Sometimes going thru a surge protector or UPS backup can cause strange things to happen on computers or laptops.

If you have the same problem then that means the motherboard is starting to go bad and would need to be replaced. cause thats where the power connector goes thru.

Wont turn on... balck screen... when i hooked it up to my computer nothing happened... tried the lock button, power button, and the wheel... still nothing

Hi, I just learned here that you have to do TWO things to get it to turn on. One, make sure the slider is in the On position. Then press and hold the play button (top one on the wheel) for 3 seconds. Worked for me, when previously the only way I could get it to turn on was to hook it up to a power source (wall or USB), which sounds slightly different than you. Hope it works anyway!

Moved computer to new location. rehooked all. monitor wont start

Without seeing your make or model on you monitor it is difficult to give you any advice.
But with that said.. If your monitor is a flat screen there is a power cord that plugs into the wall the cord is connected to a small box (power converter) out of the box is a small connector that goes into your monitor. It is small and you may have to turn you Monitor over to see exactly where it connects.

Your computer will work whether or not you have Internet service.

I have a pontiac g6 and my change oil light has been on. i went and got a oil change and nothing happened and i cant see where to put the tRANSNISSION FLUID??

With the "CHANGE OIL SOON" message displayed, press any of the three DIC buttons to clear the "CHANGE OIL SOON" message. Display "OIL LIFE RESET" on the DIC. Press and hold the "ENTER" button for at least one second. An "ACKNOWLEDGED" display message will appear for three seconds or until the next button is pressed. This will tell you the system has been reset. Turn the ignition to "OFF". If the "CHANGE OIL SOON" message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure. on the 3.5 liter you have a dipstick near fire wall
