Need to program n9483ud remote to work with sv2000 vcr/dvd player.

You really have two options with this, you can either run over to like Best Buy or Walmart and see if you can find a Universal Remote that you can program. This option is cheaper, however you have to deal with remote codes and programming the universal remote, and in most universal remotes, when you take out the batteries, you'll have to program the remote again!
Your second option is Buy the original for your unit online, I found that this site says they have the remote that will work with that product here: http://www.remotecontrolhookup.com/sv2000/nb183ud/
Obviously a little more expensive, but you get the convenience of buying a product and never having to worry about programming it again.

have you tried cleaning the contact pads & board inside your reomte?

Mine does the same thing! Except it only happens when i try to use the VCR part. DVD works fine! Still looking for a code tho!

If your absolutly sure the remote doesnt work there is a power button on the unit its self. As far as a universal remote goes, I my self would like to know that. After much research I have found no info on another remote working

I found this info.....it doesn't work for my model SV2000 ( WV806 ) , but it might for yours SV2000 ( WV10D6 )

With the recorder on stop, not on a menu screen. press on remote; CMSKIP-1-2-3. this will take you to a page labeled "F/W VERSION DISP" this will display the current firmware version and model numbers. To exit , press the "RETURN" button. DO NOT PRESS "OK" on remote , pressing "OK" will reset your player settings.

View disk manufacturer information:

with a disk inserted into recorder and stoped, not on a menu screen; press on remote CMSKIP-1-2-3 to go to firmware information screen.press the rigth arrow "->" once. this will display the disk media type and disk manufacturer ID. To exit, press the left arrow "<-" once to go to the firmware display screen, then press the "RETURN" button. DO NOT PRESS "OK" on remote , pressing "OK" will reset your player settings.
