If you can, remove cover from icemaker. Use a jumper wire and short L to V. Valve should turn on and water should enter icemaker. If you get water coming in then you likely have a bad icemaker. They're easy to install. and provide model and they will ship you one.

SOURCE: Ice maker not working

It's possible that the tube that supplies water to the ice maker is blocked with ice (freezer temp. too cold) and not allowing water to get to the Ice tray.
You can squeeze the tube to see if it's iced, and if so you can melt the ice with a blow dryer and adjust your freezer temp. to the manufacturer's suggested setting and work from there.
I have seen this happen, but there are other problems such as just a broken ice maker too.
Good luck.

My Amana bottom freezer refrigerator BB120TPW is 11 years old. The ice maker doen't make any ice. I can hear a noice coming from the unit, but no ice. I turned off the water and unpluged it. If it...

Ice maker stopped making ice. For this problem you have check few things. First thing, is the water filling in the ice maker chamber and then ice maker not making ice? Or, the water is not filling in the ice maker chamber so it's not making ice. If the water is not filling in the ice maker chamber then it's clear that ice is not getting made due to no water in the chamber. For no water filling, the problem is either water supply valve turned off so water is not filling. Turn on the water supply and it will fill. But if the water supply is turned on then the other possibility is ice blockage in the water fill tube. There is a tube from which the water runs and enters the ice maker chamber. If this tube is blocked then water will not enter the chamber. The tube needs to be defrosted, by using hair dryer. This procedure melts the ice collected in the tube and water starts running again. But if water fill tube is completely clear and no ice blockage or any other blockage. Then other possibility is water valve at the back of ice maker unit. This water valve is for letting the water in the ice maker. The water valve open only for 7 seconds and in this time the water fills in the ice maker chamber and then water valve closes and the same procedure runs again in the next water filling cycle.------- For your information I will mention that there are two valves. One is the main valve the back of the fridge section. This main valve lets the water enter the refrigerator and other valve is at the back of ice-maker section. This other valve lets the water to enter the ice maker. In most of the cases the fault is water valve at the back of ice maker section. ------------- The other above possibilities which I gave you is water not filling in ice-maker chamber so it's not making ice. But now consider that water is filling in ice maker chamber but it's still not making ice. Then the problem is ice maker unit itself. This unit is controlled by main board. But in most cases if water is filling the ice maker but it's not making ice then its faulty ice maker unit. So see if the problem is water not entering the ice maker then the water fill tube is frosted by ice or the water valve at the back of ice maker is faulty. Replace the valve. ------------

You can get required parts from sears part direct online site or from repairclinic.com site.

Ice maker not working no water is passing through yellow or green hoses

Most likely the dual water control valve on back is defective on the side where it opens to fill ice maker. Lets test the ice maker first by filling with tap water and turn switch on. If after water freezes it cycles and dumps and does not refill then the dual water control valve will need replaced. Hope the model number above your post is correct because I'm going to look yours up. BR Sea Breeze

No water going into ice box of icemaker. Motor seems to be working ok. Checked hose not snagged.

Most times that will be the water control valve on the rear of refrigerator and most times they come as a pair or dual one side for water dispenser and other side for the ice maker. You can test to see if the ice maker is defective by turning switch on and fill with tap water. When it freezes and dumps but no water refills the ice maker then the valve for the ice maker side is defective and will need to be replaced as a pair. If you fill ice maker with water and it freezes and then does not dump then most likely the ice maker is defective.Thnks Sea Breeze

Leaking water in icemaker. water from icemaker leaks into freezer and freezes on freezer wall

If you are sure that it's coming from the ice maker I believe that you possibly have a leaking water control valve on the side for the ice maker on the rear of refrigerator near floor there is a dual water valve control. Many times when this happens the water will freeze in the fill tube that fills the ice maker in the rear of freezer. You can defrost the frozen water in the fill tube with a hair dryer but that will not stop the problem from coming back. When that happens water tends to at times go everywhere but the ice maker. You can test the water control valve several ways. By unplugging the side to the ice maker and if water continues to flow slowly to the ice maker then the dual water control valve will need replaced, Sea Breeze

My lfx25950 is not making ice

Most likely your water control valve is defective on the side for the ice maker. There are times that there is a slow leak and water freezes in the fill tube that fills the ice maker. That can be fixed by defrosting the fill tube with a hair dryer until the water valve is replaced. The next like ly problem would be a defective ice maker and sometimes there are problems getting parts for the LG brand. Do this, fill the ice maker with tap water turn on and let freeze. If it drops the ice the ne dual water control valve needs replaced. If it does nothing then the ice maker is the problem. I will be back soon with part numbers and where to find the parts you need. Try the test and if I am helpful please rate my solution, Thanks, Sea breeze

No water to ice maker but there is to the water dispenser in the door. Whirlpool model ED22PQ

This could be two reasons. The water control valve that sends water to the ice maker or the ice maker is not sending the signal to the water control valve to send water to ice maker There are 2 valves on back of your refrigerator one for ice and the other is for the dispenser. If ice maker is empty then the signal should be sent to back control valve and 120 volts should open the valve for about 4 seconds. If that valve is bad nothing will happen. You can test the ice maker by filling with tap water and if it cycles until time to refill and no water fills the tray then I think the water control valves need replaced. Click on link below and enter your model number in model search feature. Let me know what you find, Sea Breeze

GE Artica PSS29NGNA no ice is being / no water flow on ice side

It is possible the water control valve on the back of the refrigerator is defective. When the thermostat in the ice maker tells the water control valve to ope after dumping the ice. Try filling the ice maker with tap water and let it freeze and cycle one time. It is also possible that the fill tube for the ice maker has frozen shut because of the slow continious flow of a leaking water control valve. You can try to clear the ice with a hair dryer, but if the control valve continues to let water buy will have another damaged ice maker. The part number for the water control valve is WR57X10032 and you can enter parts numbers and model numbers on the search feature at the link below. Let me know how thing are and if you were able to get this under control, I am here to help if you like, sorry I just today saw your post, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Kenmore Ice Maker

Sounds like a water valve problem to me. Force the ice maker to cycle. (turn it off and let it get cold for at least an hour then turn it back on). Test for voltage on the ice maker side of the valve. The valve is usually in the back near the floor. Just follow the water line. Another solution. switch the wires on the water valve. then try the water dispenser and see if it makes the ice maker fill up. See if when the ice maker cycles water comes out the door. If the ice maker causes water in the door , replace the valve, If door switch causes ice maker to fill up replace ice maker again.
