Electrolux oxygen series vacs

Is there any place to get parts for these vacs online? I have a broken powerhead that I need a motor, and the whole powerhead to wand locking unit. I would also need a automatic cord rewind unit. I can take them apart and fix them I just do not know where to get parts so I end up with 2 or 3 units I have bought just for parts.

I found my own solution. Two great websites that had everything I need for the EL5 powerhead.

I have good suction on the hose but none at the powerhead? Has New Belt & checked for clogs??

Have you checked the motor on the powerhead? It runs on a separate motor from the vacuum cleaner. Also make sure the belts in the powerhead are good. Hope this helps.

Hello, My Electrolux Oxygen motorized brush stopped working. How do I determine if it is the switch, a belt or something else that is causing the motor not to work?

Hey Lee,
We had the same problem and after taking it to a service guy who didn't even want to LOOK at the vacuum, it occurred to us to plug the powerhead brush directly into the handle and it worked! So, we were able to determine that the problem was the tube - not the brush.

We ordered a replacement tube.

Hope this helps.

The plugin indicator light is on and the unit won't run but the powerhead will. Is the motor bad?

The motor could be bad. Sometimes the carbon brushes will get stuck from the fine dust buildup over the years and will loose connection with the comutator. Take the vac to your Aerus/Electrolux dealer/shop for repair.

Hi I have an electrolux vacumm cleaner, super J model. My problem is that the powerhead only works if the switch is in the off position. vacumm motor works in the on position, opposite of each other. Can...

Looks like there's an interchanged wires in your vacuum. Both the motor and the powerhead must go together. Check it up. Leave the
motor wiring connection intact. Just tinker and check the powerhead
wiring connection .

I need a new hose for my Electrolux central vac

Do you need a new powerhead too or only the hose? If you need a new powerhead than I would recommend looking at the Imperium Pro Elite Attachment set. It is an excellent quality powerhead and hose. If you only need a new hose than you will need to contact the Aerus because they will be probably be the only company who can sell you a hose that wil be compatible with your powerhead. Their website is http://www.aerusonline.com/products/

EL5 (large) powerhead

There is a no filter safety device part #1130912-01, maybe the new filter isn't in quite like it should be or this device has gone bad. Also check the brush roll and make sure it turns easily, if not then that could be the cause.

Did you check the powerhead drive belt. Procedures for replacement are on the electrolux website and also in the owner's manual.

Electrolux power nozzle not working

the powerhead gets its power through a connector adjacent to the hose connection to the vacuum end. there's two wires embedded in the hose which make its way to the handle, pipe and powerhead. take apart the handle and see if you can read continuity from one end to the handle switch.
