Cannot turn silence mode off

The procedure varies from model to model. Since you neglected to specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 system I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.

How do you get the RX icon to turn off? The unit just has a contant fuzzy buzz.

RX represents "receive" This indication will be present whenever the speaker is producing audio. The "buzz" you're talking about is probably static, and is technically audio from the speaker. To silence the "buzz" adjust the squelch just until the speaker falls silent. The RX indication should be off at this point.

It is important to note that the squelch is designed to keep the speaker silent until a signal is detected. You adjust the squelch based on the level of static at a particular time and at a particular location. The static level may change depending on those variables. If you adjust the squelch well beyond the point that the speaker is silenced, you may not be able to hear transmissions or calls to you unless the caller's transmitter is physically close to you. This is why the squelch should be adjusted only until the static is stopped and the speaker is silenced.

I hope this helps and good luck!

How do i programme the answermachine on the audioline FF895 plus

First of all, thank you very much for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.

Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://www.cts.co.nz/media/11483/AUDIOLINE%20FF895%20user%20guide%20(647KB).pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

See page 31 of that manual for detailed instructions on how to operate the SILENCE MODE SELECTION option.

Basically, if the phone display shows "Si" while in AUTO ANSWER mode, then just press the REPEAT button once to disable the SILENCE MODE.

You can also listen in to the Caller's Message using just the handset instead of the speakerphone. See page 24 of the manual for detailed instructions on how to use the CALL SCREENING feature.

I truly hope that was helpful to you Linda.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

Is there a way to mute my VTech 5.8 phone as I am going to be on a conference call for 2 hours?

Hi! Some phone can be muted using the silence mode->this way the phone will ring but it vibrates instead of a loud preset song. So just press and hold this button "#" and the phone will turn the silent mode on/off.
I hope this will help you! Have a nice day!

You can turn down, and off, only the phone keypad sounds.
Settings > phone profiles > your profile, and once there, scroll across the top menu (gives access to phone, new message, and phone sounds. The controls are found there.
