Brand new mini fridge was on it's side before being set up. Plugged in too soon. Now it won't start cooling. Are we out of luck?

It could be that liquid coolant got into the low-pressure part of the cooling system when it was on its side, and is preventing the expansion valve from doing its job converting high-pressure liquid coolant to gas. My recommendation is to unplug it, wait the 24 hours, and plug it back in. Excess fluid should have drained to the bottom of the cooling system by then, and normal cooling can begin.

Dometic refrigetor won,t cool

Have you adjusted the temperature setting? Try adjusting it to a cooler setting and wait about 24 hours to see if it is getting cool. If not, it may need a new thermostat.

The 1.7 cubic foot Chefmate refrigerator will not cool. I"ve left it plugged in for 24 hours and it's still not cooling. The refrigerator is only 2 yrs. old. Thanks

Hello ,
Do you hear the compressor come on? If yes , Wait a few minutes then feel the condenser coils at different spots. It should be hot to the touch .Also , there should be gurgling coming from inside freezer section. If neither, there's no refrigerant .
If compressor does not come on, listen for click as if it wants to start. Click means thermostat ok but start relay or capacitor problem or seized compressor (bad). No clicking could be thermostat.
Best procedure here is to use a test cord to see if compressor starts manually.

My refrigerator freeze work gest find but the bottom part of the refrig is not cooling?

The defrost thermostat is not functioning as it should. The problem is with defrost.

Try manual defrost reset procedure first : ----
First unplug the unit from main power outlet. Then empty whole unit completely. Then keep both the doors open. Wait for 24 hours. All the ice collected on the coils and in the freezer section will get melted. Clean the water from the sections. Then Connect the power cord of the unit to main power outlet after 24 hours/.Then set the temperature to normal in both fridge and freezer section. It will take near to 4 hours to get run in its proper cooling cycle. Then check, if the problem returns again. If the same problem occurs then it's defrost problem. ---------- . It's starting the cooling procedure, and then while defrosting, it's not working. The defrost assembly consists of three main parts. The defrost thermostat, the defrost heater and defrost board. Any of the one is not functioning. When thermostat sense the maximum cooling, it triggers the defrost heater to start heating and this defrosts the ice collected on the coils and the system works. Both thermostat and heater are controlled by defrost board. First the thermostat and defrost heater to be checked, if both check ok by meter and visually, then its defrost board causing the problem. You can get required parts from online sites like: --- www.repairclinic.com or from searspartsdirect online site. This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

GE TBF 17DB 17,2 cu.ft. refrigerator/freezer runs continuously.

Set both controls to their middle settings. Put a glass of water in the frig with a thermometer in it and check the temperature in 48 hours. I is normal for the newer appliances to be on longer than off. Power consumption is highest during start up and it is more efficient to start less often and run longer. When adjusting controls ONLY change one by one number and wait 24 hours before making another change.

Refridgerator with bottom freezer. Fridge is not cooling at all, but bottom freezer is just fine. What do I do

With almost all refrigerators, all the cooling takes place in the freezer and a fan then blows some of the cooled air into the refrigerator section to cool it. Look for a non functioning fan in the freezer, frost or ice build up in air ducts leading from freezer into refrig section, and make sure controls are not set to the coldest freezer setting. (that keeps most of the cold air in the freezer)
