Question about Koss KS3102 System

2 Answers

Loses power I am hoping someone can help me with this. It seems that when I push the power button on the system I start to get the "hello" screen then it just dies. It loses power and I can get it to turn on. If I wait a few minutes, I try again and it does the same thing. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. Any suggestions?

When I power on the system the hello comes on and stays for a while then it goes into dvd or radio mode whichever was the last I used before turning the system off but then it freezes.

I opened the the unit and found the power supply board ( So I think it is called) dark brown in some spots mainly toward the middle and the yellow clue on the board turns brown in those areas. Obviously it overheated. But I cannot located the part number to try to find a place for ordering it. Maybe I need a schematic diagram to identify the board part number, can someone help please with the number. Thanks.

Oh I forget to put the unit I was talking about with the brown spots on the power supply board. It is a Koss home theatre with dvd model# ks 3102.

So please help to identify the part number for the power supply board.

Mine just started flickering when I turned it on. The "Hello" would flicker and other lights on the display would flicker. I first changed my power strip and that helped for a day, but in the end I do think it's the power supply. Because I purchased this system almost 5 years ago for like $99.00 I've decided to donate it to good will or if I find a computer repair school or computer center, I'll donate it there.

I attempted to throw it out (KS3102) several times. don't know why I am holding onto it after about 4- 5 years. I really enjoyed it while it was good though.

Reset switch of toshiba satellite M35x

I would definitely Try booting in safe mode to see if it at least loads up the basic system. If it does this then you need to explore what it is that you last installed or did. Hopefully you had a restore point set up but even if not it still is not the end of the world.

But the answer to your question is to press <ctrl> <alt> and <del> all at the same time and this should reboot the system. If it does not you have no choice but to use the power button. If when you push the power button the system doesn't turn off you need to hold it in until the system shuts down. The system will shut down it takes a few seconds (may seem long but it isn't )
When you push the power button and turn the system on start pushing <f8> right at the load screen (you can go ahead and just keep tapping it all the way from the time you turn on the power until it loads the alternative options screen). At the screen select safe mode and see where that gets you.

Good Luck

HELP!! my nokia 6500s wont allow me to get on the menu screen,, whenever it starts up,, it shows Push to talk,, and it wont go away,, ive restarted it several times,, it still shows push to talk,, push to...

Try doing this. Turn off the unit, remove the battery, press and hold the power button (while battery is out), then put the battery back and turn it back on. If that doesn't work, just repeat the steps including removing the Sim Card. Or turn on the unit without a Sim Card.

You can also try using reset codes but that would reset EveryThing back to default settings which might include losing the settings of your provider which is not recommended. But the initial step is safe to use.

Hope this helps.

Hello I have forgotten my password so cannot unlock my hand set what to do

Hello there....

I think you can only do a Hard Reset to your Omnia.

But keep in mind that by doing a Hard Reset, all your data and installed third party application will be erased.

- Hard Reset: Power cycle your handset and erase all data, rollback your device to default state (when you got it first time from the store/factory).

How To:
- Hard Reset:
1) Go to Start Menu >> Settings >> System >> Hard Reset >> Clear Memory >> and follow instruction.
2) or other way is: handset in power off state, push small Reset button near the power button while also pressing End & Call button simultaneously and then follow instruction appears on the screen.

Hope that helps.... :D

I need to reboot my Dell, due to a virus. I can't find my CD, so help!

Hello, I can help you. Follow the steps below:

1) Immediately after pushing the power button, Press F8 to go to the Advanced Options Menu. Use down arrow buttons to highlight REPAIR YOUR COMPUTER and Press ENTER.
2) Follow the On-Screen Directions to Restore Your Computer to Factory Settings.
NOTE: By doing this, you will lose all previously save work as well as any other programs, etc. you may have added to your computer. It will return your system to the state in which it was from the factory.
3) When you have completed the Restore, you should then go to your Dell Support Website and Download/Install any & all current updates for your system.
4) Install an Anti-Virus Software Program to prevent further Virus Attacks.
5) Go to the Windows Updates Website and Choose Automatic Updates.

That should do it for you. Be sure to follow the steps in the order in which I have listed them above. GOOD LUCK!! Lucky4lynn2 :)

How do I re-install the OS on my Toshiba sm30?

Restart your computer and insert the installation DVD into your DVD drive. MAke sure your BIOS settings are set to boot from DVD drive first. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the OS.
If you don't have a OS installation disk, use the recovery disk tha came with your computer or push the recovery button when you turn on your computer. The most common keys used are F10, F11, and F12.

Audi Flashing gear display

The vehicle would seem to lose power as the transmission has gone into 'safe mode' and the transmission control module has detected a fault in the transmission hence the flashing gear display. you need to get someone in a dealer or someone that has the technology to plug into the car and find out what the problem in the trans is. hope this helps.

Hello,
DO NOT TURN ON THE KIRBY ANYMORE UNTIL YOU GET THIS FIXED!!! (not even to show someone what it sounds like)

Your carbon brushes are worn out and will cause damage to the armature if you run the machine before they are replaced..

You can use my guide for replacing the power switch to break the Kirby down and allow you to get to the carbon brushes to replace them.

Screen goes blank also.

I too have an LCD Xerox - it worked fine for a while, then kept going blank and going onto standby. Unplugging and reconnecting from both pc and power seems to reset it. It hadn't happened for months but started again the other night when it occurred to me that I had just downloaded MS security updates - I've removed the ones that I downloaded just before it started happening again and the problem seems to be solved. Hope this helps someone.
