Not all programs display in correct format. Chosing a stretch option from the TV remote or Cable remote is usually the only option. Aside from going into the menu settings and changing the Horizontal & Vertical axis.

Says FuLL won't take pictures

FULL indicates that your SD card is full and either must be cleared by formatting the card which will rase all the pictures or the pictures need to be downloaded to your computer and then erased from the card. You can also install a new card if you want to continue shooting and still save the pictures on the full card.

Look for a button on the remote that says either P-Size, Aspect, View Mode, Zoom or Ratio. Press the button on the remote to change the size to Stretch, Full etc..

Full screen view

in order to get the full HD experience you should be using HDMI cables. if you're using the white/red/yellow cables then your HD channels will not broadcast in full HD and you'll be stuck with the annoying black things around your screen

I'm only getting 12 pictures before I get a "Memory Full" notice

You didn't state whether or not you are using a memory card in your camera. If you are storing pictures strictly on the camera's internal memory and you have a high megapixel camera, it is quite possible that your memory is full. I have seen cameras with only 8 MB of internal memory which will hold very few pictures before giving you a "memory full" message.
