Question about Epson ACULASER CX11NF All-In-One Printer

I have an Epson CX11NF running on a network. It prints and scans great, but the status monitor quit working some time ago. I have installed the updated drivers, no luck, checked the monitor multiple printers, nothing works. It does work when I connect using a USB cable but not through my wireless network. I used to work fine. I am running XP. Also when I click on properties on the print screen it also says no comm. Definitely would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance

Can not get scanning to work over a wireless/network


The ip address for you scanner is already set. If you are able to print to it over the network than you will be able to scan from it over the network. The trick is that you will need to initiate the scan from your pc and not from the scanner. Look in your program files and find epson scan. there you will find epson scan setings. open this up and select a scanner, the cx11nf. Tell it that it is a network scanner and allow the program to find the scanner. Once found, you will need to test it. If you get full communication back from the scanner than you are connected and can then use epson scan to scan your documents and pictures to file.
If you cant find epson scan than you have not loaded the program and will need to reload the program.

The IP number on each computer was wrong in one number, despite having printed for 20 months previously.

Epson C60 Stylus Status Monitor Does Not Work On Windows Vista


I ve been having the same problem with my Epson 1290 and Windows Vista! It works fine but I cant get the status info on my ink levels. Its so annoying when u run out of ink the LED on the printer goes on but you dont know whick cartridges to replace! I hope Microsoft and Epson get this sorted out because it so annoying and I end up spending more money on inks than needed! I read someone had similar problem, installed the 1290 M driver (via Vistas set drivers) but it didnt work for me!

any other suggestions?

check under device manager, click on Universal serial bus controllers. on the list you should have USB PRINTING SUPPORT, then check on printers and faxes right click on your al-cx11nf icon and click on properties and clcik on ports tab, make sure it is set to usb001 virtual printer port \

if that doesnt work try connecting printer using ethernet or straight cable so that you will know if there is something wrong with the ports at the back of your printer

by the way make sure that it is a direct connection

Copies and prints but won't scan


Updated the drivers in Device Manager. For some reason they had been unistalled.

I had this problem. Try unplugging any usb connection to the computer, turn off, then turn on and then try a stand alone copy. It was my USB connection to the computer which had locked up the copier.
After this it was fine.

Won't print but copies and scans


What operating system and is this on a network as a shared printer or wireless?

Download Epson net config from the website and run the program on all computer and configure it, make sure on the printer that ip is set to obtain automatically.

Another thing to try if it STILL doesn't work is
Printer&Faxes>>Properties>>Advanced>>"Print Directly to Printer"

Just remember to restart after you try both of these. The Status Monitor in it's current for (at least for me) simply sucks.

Hi, On the PC that will not display printer status correctly, pls run MSCONFIG (start, run, type "msconfig", OK); in the System Configuration Utility Window, click on the tab Startup, see if the EPSON Status Monitor is present and checked. If it is not present, check if you have Lavasoft Ad-Watch or similar program running. This prevents the EPSON Status Monitor from registering and running correctly. If such a program is running, temporarily remove Automatic setting and reinstall the EPSON Status Monitor. Accept any registry modification at this point. Restore all settings once installation is finished. If still a no go, try wiggling the parallel connector a bit and make sure it is snug and fit. If all else fails, you may have to consider: Installing to only 1 PC, share and make it a print server assuming you have networked all your PCs; or re-installing Windows (Ouch!) Hope things work out for you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.
