Defrost cycle is very often. Check freezer timer/thermostat might be cuts off frequently. Check thermostat setting..Check fridge is working continuously until frosting over freezer by keeping thermostat at 9' clock position. If not replace thermostat.

It runs all the time

Switch the fridge off for some time till the frost clears off. make sure the compressor has cooled off before you start the fridge once again.Switch on and checck if there is any ICE formation in about 1-2 hours. If so your compressor, gas and performance is good.
Now we need to check to see if the thermostat is cutting off. Having kept the thermostat in normal mode , the compressor must cut off in less than 3-4 hours. If not the thermostat is faulty. Also if you look on if the fridge does not shut offf in baout 8-9 hours of running then your thermostat, timer can be suspects.
However if there is no cooling reached in the first place then it is possible that the compressor or the gas pressure is down.
Check for leak if the fridge is old before you waste money on filling and losing .

My fridge freezer is running non stop

It is probably because it's not getting cold enough to cut off. If you slowly turn the thermostat to warmer it should cut off when it gets to that temp.If it doesn't cut off then it is a thermostat problem. When you have heavy ice buildup on the evaporator coils inside the freezer behind the back panel that will hamper the cooling. This is caused by a defrost system failure.

Hi, I have a westpoint WPS1602 fridge and the problem is defrost not working. I checked the thermostat, it suppose to be NC contact at low temperatures. but is showing open circuit always. The thermostat...

The thermostat should show open above 50 degrees to protect the refrigerator from over heating during defrost. If its not closing while frozen the thermostat needs to be replaced and that will get you going. The new thermostat come with crimp splicer connections and you only need to unplug the fridge and cut the two wires to it, then splice the new one in.
If that don't get you running again let me know and I will give some other things to check, Thanks, Sea Breeze
